Men's Basketball Player of the Week 2/28/2005
Renato Lindmets, Elms
(Freshman, Forward - Springfield, MA)
Named NAC Tournament MVP after helping the Blazers to a 3-0 week and
their first NCAA Tournament appearance. Led the team on the court
with 13.7 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Shot an impressive
51.7% from the floor.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 2/28/2005
Michelle Gott, Maine Maritime
(Sophomore, Guard - Bar Harbor, ME)
Named NAC Tournament MVP, helping the Mariners to the 2005 Championship.
Averaged 16.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game over three outings last
week, along with going a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 2/21/2005
John Ancrum, Elms
(Sophomore, Guard - Harlem, NY)
Averaged 13.0 points and 11.5 assists to help lead the Blazers to
consecutive road victories at Husson and Maine Maritime over the
weekend. Collected 15 points and a game-high 15 assists on Friday,
playing the full 40 minutes against Husson.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 2/21/2005
Michelle Gott, Maine Maritime
(Sophomore, Guard - Bar Harbor, ME)
Collected 19.3 points per game in a 2-1 week for the Mariners.
Scored 20 points and pulled down 6 rebounds in the 58-46 loss to
nationally-ranked Bowdoin early last week. Over the weekend, Gott
netted 20 points against Becker on Friday, followed by an 18-point
effort against Elms Saturday, both NAC wins for the Mariners.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 2/14/2005
Maxwell Perez, Lasell
(Sophomore, Guard - Holyoke, MA)
In a 2-1 week for the Lasers, Perez averaged 21 points per game,
including picking up 30 points against Amherst College. Also had
23 points against Maine Farmington in a 75-63 win for the Lasers on
Saturday. Other notables include 5.66 steals per game during the
week, with 7 coming against NAC opponents Maine Farmington and Thomas.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 2/14/2005
Jocelyn McNair, Becker
(Sophomore, Forward - Durham, NC)
Averaged 20 points per game while shooting 63.8% from the hardwood in a
3-1 week for Becker. Picked up three double-doubles during the
week, averaging 15.5 rebounds per outing. Had a game-high 23
points along with 20 rebounds on Sunday against Bay Path.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 2/7/2005
Scott Chamberlain, Mount Ida
(Junior, Forward - Millis, MA)
Averaged 16.7 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game as the Mustangs
went 2-1 on the week. Chamberlain scored his 1,000th career point
on Thursday against New England College with 16 points and 11 rebounds,
his sixth double-double in ten games this season. Shot 55% from
the floor on the week.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 2/7/2005
Holly Gracie, Husson
(Junior, Guard - Frankfort, ME)
In a 4-0 week for the Eagles, including three wins in NAC play, Gracie
averaged just over 15 points per game, along with an average 3 rebounds
and assists per outing. Gracie broke the single-season record at
Husson for three-point baskets last week, blowing by the old mark of 50
as she currently has 58 with two more weeks left in the regular season.
Collected 16 points and six rebounds in a win over previously-unbeaten
in NAC play Maine Farmington. Husson has won its last six games,
and nine of its last ten.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 1/31/2005
Adam Rich, Thomas
(Junior, Guard - Madison, ME)
Although Thomas was only able to go 1-1 on the week, Rich put up big
numbers for the Terriers. Averaging 40 points per game through
both outings, Rich collected 51 points against U. Maine Presque Island
on Sunday, along with 12 3-point baskets - a school record. Also
surpassed the 1000-point career scoring mark v. Presque Island.
Picked up 29 points in a losing effort against Husson earlier in the
week.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 1/31/2005
Amy Ross, Wheelock
(Freshman, Guard - Pomfret, CT)
Averaging 20 points per outing through four games last week, Ross Helped
lead Wheelock to its first win of the season with 28 points against Bay
Path. Also added in six rebounds per game, and four assists during
the week.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 1/24/2005
Kyle Seyboth, Elms
(Senior, Guard - Seekonk, MA)
Averaged 18.4 points per outing in a 2-1 week for the Blazers.
Seyboth netted a game-high 20 points, including six three-pointers, in
an 82-56 win at NAC foe Johnson State Saturday. Seyboth followed
up the feat with a season-high 29 points Sunday afternoon at Castleton
State in a come-from-behind 83-77 victory, sinking nine three-pointers.
Currently stands 25 points shy of the 1,000-point mark in his career at
Elms.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 1/24/2005
Casey Wedge, Castleton State
(Senior, Guard - Bristol, VT)
In a 3-0 week for the Spartans, Wedge averaged 22 points per game, going
24-for-49 from the floor and 14-for-29 from behind the arc. Added
in 11 rebounds and 13 assists during the week.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 1/17/2005
Ray Daley, Castleton State
(Senior, Guard - Brooklyn, NY)
Scored 35 points and added 9 rebounds in the Spartan's lone contest last
week, a 104-67 victory over St. Joseph's of Vermont. Went 12-of-18
from the floor and 10-for-11 from the free-throw line.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 1/17/2005
Courtney Casserly, Lasell
(Sophomore, Guard - Stoughton, MA)
Casserly led the Lasers to a perfect 3-0 week in the Lasell's first
action back from the Christmas break. Collected 21 points, going
5-for-11 from behind the arc, in a win over NAC foe Becker on Saturday.
Through three games last week, Casserly averaged 17.7 points per outing.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 1/10/2005
Tyler Muzzy, Husson
(Sophomore, Guard - Greenville, ME)
In a 4-0 week for Husson, Muzzy averaged 22 points and 6.8 rebounds per
game, shooting an impressive 48.4% from the hardwood and 41.7% from
behind the arc. Posted 20 points and 9 rebounds over Castleton
State on Saturday, followed by 31 points and 5 rebounds against Johnson
State Sunday. Named the MVP of the Maine Event Tournament.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 1/10/2005
Alyssa Burns, Maine Maritime
(Sophomore, Guard - Dixfield, ME)
Averaged 20 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Lady Mariners, helping
her team stay perfect in NAC play along with defeating previously
undefeated Castleton State on Sunday by posting 22 points and 14
rebounds. Burns shot over 40% from the floor, and was 15-for-16
from the free throw line in the two victories.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week 12/13/2004
Jeremy Jorgensen, Castleton State
(Sophomore, Forward - Fairlee, VT)
Scored a career-high 26 points and pulled down 18 rebounds in a win for
the Spartans over NAC rival Johnson State over the weekend. For
the week, Jorgensen averaged 20.5 points and 13 rebounds per game.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week 12/13/2004
Maggie Bramswig, Mount Ida
(Freshman, Forward - Pleasantville, NY)
In a 1-1 week for the Mustangs, averaged 22.5 points and 8.5 rebounds.
Netted 18 points and collected eight rebounds and three blocks in a
conference win over Bay Path on Wednesday, followed by posting a
career-high 27 points in a tough loss to Fitchburg State.

(Senior, Guard - Lauderhill, FL)
Helped keep the Lasers perfect in conference play on the road.
Against Husson, Walker collected 29 points and four steals, while
against Maine Maritime chipped in eight points, six rebounds, and three
steals
(Freshman, Forward - Dalton, MA)
Helping lead the Blazers to their first two wins of the season this past
week, both in conference play, Kasala averaged 15.3 points and 7.6
rebounds, including a career-high 20 points and 16 rebounds in Sunday's
victory over Johnson State.
(Sophomore, Forward - Pembroke, MA)
Had an impressive week on the hardwood, averaging 25.3 points per game
and 11.3 rebounds per game over three outings last week. Scored 30
points and pulled down 12 rebounds with seven blocks in a 98-91 win over
Wentworth on Tuesday. Named to the 20th annual Harbor Invitational
All-Tournament Team held at UMass Boston over the weekend.
(Freshman, Guard - San Jose, CA)
In an overtime win for the Lynx over Regis on Tuesday, 79-73, Vines
recorded 23 points and 8 rebounds, adding in six steals and five
assists.
(Junior, Guard - Thomaston, ME)
Led UMF to a 2-0 weekend, averaging 20 points, 4 steals, 4.5 assists,
and 3.5 rebounds in two appearances. Had 30 points in the Beaver's
win over Division-II Palm Beach Atlantic, and took home Hight Chevrolet
Tournament MVP Honors.
(Sophomore, Guard - Dixfield, ME)
Averaged 15.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 3.5 steals in the MMA Tip-Off
Tournament. Named to the All-Tournament Team.
