Kristy Veazie, Me.-Farmington (Sr.
F ? Dexter, ME)
Veazie helped carry UMF to a 3-0 record for the week with six
goals and three assists. The senior had one goal and one assist
in our 3-2 conference win over Lasell and netted three goals
with an assist in a victory over Wheelock. She also scored twice
and assisted on another in a 4-2 win over Southern Maine. |
Caitlin Gelber, WNEC (Fr. F -
Centereach, NY)
Gelber had a goal and two assists in a 2-1 week for the Golden
Bears. She had the winning goal in a 1-0 victory at Castleton
State and an assist in a 3-0 win over Becker as WNEC opened
conference play with a pair of shutout victories. Gelber also
contributed the assist in a 2-1 loss at Mount Holyoke. |

Nathan Williams, Castleton State (Sr. M
- East Schodack, NY)
Williams led the Spartans to two victories against previously
unbeaten conference teams from Husson and Maine Maritime.
Against Husson, Williams scored the game winner and assisted on
two other scores from his center midfield position. In the 2-0
win over Maine Maritime, Williams provided the assist on the
game winner. |
Andrew Lane, Johnson State (Fr. GK -
Charlotte, VT)
Andrew shutout conference unbeaten Maine Maritime Academy for
110 minutes to help JSC to a 0-0 tie on Saturday. Lane came back
on Sunday and allowed only one goal to Husson College to lead
JSC to a 1-1 tie.
Svetlin Ignatov, Mount Ida (Fr. F -
Taunton, Mass.)
Freshman Svetlin Ignatov sparked a perfect 3-0 week for Mount
Ida, totaling six points on three goals. He netted a pair of
markers in a 3-2 overtime victory versus Elms on Wednesday and
added a goal in the Mustangs 3-2 overtime win at the University
of Maine Farmington on Sunday. |

Amy Asselin, Maine Maritime (Sr. F -
Auburn, ME)
Senior captain Amy Asselin scored four goals and added one
assist as she led the Lady Mariners to a 3-0-0 week including a
home conference victory against Thomas, and league road wins at
both Johnson State and Castleton State. Asselin notched two
tallies with an assist in a 5-2 win against Thomas. The senior
forward scored the games only goal in a 1-0 defeat of Johnson
State and found the net in a 3-2 win at Castleton State. |
Toby Martin, Thomas (Fy. F - Wayne, ME)
First year Toby Martin helped lead Thomas to a 2-1 week with
three goals and one assist. Martin scored a goal and added an
assist in 4-3 league win over Mount Ida on Saturday. She return
on Sunday to score the game-winning goal in 3-2 come-from-behind
conference victory against Lasell. Martin also added a tally in
a 5-2 loss to Maine Maritime. |
Volleyball

Katelyn Rasich, Lasell (So. S - Hellertown, PA)
Rasich led Lasell posting 80 assists, 12 aces and 16 digs last
week as the Lasers went 3-0 last week. |
Stephanie Saito, Mount Ida (Fr. S -
West. Linn, OR)
Freshman Stephanie Saito helped Mount Ida to a 2-1 mark
this week, averaging 3.14 kills, 2.14 digs and 1.14 service aces
per game in seven games played. She tallied 11 assists in a 3-0
loss versus Rivier on Tuesday and posted seven assists and seven
aces in a 3-0 victory at Castleton State on Saturday. |
Men's Cross Country

Gabe McConkey, Johnson State (So. -
Afton, VA)
McConkey finished second overall at the Blazers Invitational
hosted by Elms College to help lead the Johnson State men's
cross country team to a team win at the event. McConkey finished
the race in a time of 26:46. |
Chris Johnson, Lasell (Fr. -
Gloucester, MA)
Johnson ran his best time of the year at the Blazer Invitational
this weekend, finishing third overall with a 28:08 time and
helping his team to a second place finish. |
Women's Cross Country

Andra Spearrin, Me.-Farmington (Jr. -
Skowhegan, ME)
Andra Spearrin finished third out of 198 runners in the
competitive Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College on
Saturday. Spearrin completed the course in a personal-best time
of 19:55. |
Allison Robinson, Johnson State (Fr. -
Bethlehem, NH)
In only her third collegiate race, Robinson won the
Blazers Invitational hosted by Elms College. She finished the
race in a time of 21:12. |
Women's Tennis

Jessie Ryan, Castleton State (Sr. -
Rutland, VT)
Ryan led the Spartans to a 2-0 week by winning both of her
singles matches and both of her doubles matches versus Green
Mountain College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. The
senior lost only 2 games in singles competition defeating her
Green Mountain opponent 6-1, 6-1 at the #2 slot and winning 6-0,
6-0 against MCLA playing #3. |
Catherine Falkowski, Bay Path (Fr. - E.
Longmeadow, MA)
Falkowski had a strong week while playing in the # 2 singles and
# 2 doubles. She compiled a 3-1 week while leading Bay Path to a
1-1 week with a win over MCLA and a loss to St. Joseph's (CT).
The freshman rallied to defeat her MCLA opponent 4-6,7-6, 7-6. |
