Black was involved with every Spartan goal in Saturday's 4-2
quarterfinal victory over Husson. The junior forward scored
twice and assisted on the other two Castleton goals, propelling
the team to the semifinals. |
Elizabeth Hennigan, Simmons (Fr. M - Worcester, MA)
Freshman Elizabeth Hennigan scored two big goals for the
Sharks in the NAC quarterfinal win over Thomas College. |

Nathan Williams, Castleton State (Sr. M
- East Schodack, NY)
In a 2-0 week for the Spartans, Williams was the main offensive
force. Williams had the game winning goal in Wednesday's regular
season finale, a 1-0 road victory over Lasell. In Saturday's 1-0
quarter-final win over Maine Maritime Williams also tallied the
game winner. |
Brian Lemont, Me.-Farmington (Fr. GK -
Brunswick, ME)
UMF goalkeeper Brian Lemont shutout top seeded Johnson State
with six saves forcing a tie in the quarterfinals of the NAC
men's soccer championship. The freshman then turned away the a
penalty kick in the seventh round of the tiebreaking kicks to
allow UMF to advance to the NAC semifinals. |

Jesse Taylor, Maine Maritime (Jr. F -
Orland, ME)
Taylor assisted on the first goal in Maine Maritime's 2-1 NAC
quarterfinal win over in-state rival Husson College, and in the
87th minute she scored the winner to give the Lady Mariners
their first ever conference playoff win.
Lindsey Kendall, Castleton State (Jr. F
- Mendon, VT)
Kendall provided the game winning goal in Wednesday's
regular season finale victory over Lasell 4-1. The junior
forward also scored both goals in Castleton's 2-0 defeat of
Lasell in Saturday's quarterfinal game. |
Melissa Porter, Maine-Farmington (Fr. M - Peru, ME)
Maine-Farmington freshman midfielder Melissa Porter, who
entered the game less than a minute earlier, re-directed a
corner kick at the 57:41 mark for the game-winner in UMF's 2-0
defeat of Thomas in the NAC quarterfinals. |

Allison Bianco, Lasell (So. MH -
Fishkill, NY)
Bianco averaged 5.2 kills per game last week, including 26 kills
in a 3-0 win against Husson College, as the Lasers earned the #2
seed in the upcoming NAC Championship after defeating Maine
Maritime and Husson College on Saturday.
Christina Nikolaidis, Mount Ida (Sr. OH
- Bourne, MA)
Nikolaidis racked up 3.10 kills and 10.30 digs per game,
as Mount Ida posted a perfect 3-0 week. The Mustangs' co-captain
also tallied 12 service aces in ten games played. Nikolaidis
totaled nine kills and 26 digs in a 3-0 shutout of Maine
Maritime Academy and posted a double-double on 14 kills and 46
digs in a 3-1 triumph over Husson College on Saturday.
Nikolaidis also added six aces in the match, as the Mustangs
clinched the NAC regular season title with an undefeated 10-0
mark. |
Lindsey Bamford, Lasell (Fr. MH - Fall River, MA)
Bamford averaged 3.11 kills per game last week and
played her best match of the year against Husson College with
six blocks, two block assists, 12 kills and eight digs in a 3-0
win. |
