Men's Basketball

Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

John Ancrum, Elms (Jr. G - Harlem, N.Y.)
Ancrum averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 assists to help lead the Blazers to conference victories over Mount Ida and Lasell last week. In last Wednesday's win over Mount Ida, Ancrum netted 18 points and dished out 10 assists in just 23 minutes, and in Saturday's win at Lasell, he registered 13 points and seven assists.

Toby Brittian, Lesley (Jr. F - South Kingston, R.I.)
Brittian helped lead the Lynx to a 2-1 record this week including their first conference win. The junior forward had an outstanding week shooting 23-40 (57.5%) from the field and 13-14 (92%) from the free-throw line. Over the three games Brittian averaged 19.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2.6 blocks and 2 steals per game including 20 points in a conference victory on the road at Johnson State and 24 points along with 10 rebounds in a one point loss to Castleton State.

Antoine Holder, Elms (Fr. F - Hartford, Conn.)
Holder netted a collegiate career-high 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to help lead the Blazers to a crucial conference win at Lasell 83-73 last Saturday. The freshman forward also contributed to a 111-79 defeat of Mount Ida with seven points and four rebounds. For the week, Holder averaged 19 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Women's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Alyssa Burns, Maine Maritime (Jr. F - Dixfield, Maine)
Burns averaged 18 points eight rebounds and 3.5 assists in a 2-0 week for the Mariners, including a 65-63 road win at Maine-Farmington. The junior forward had 20 points and nine rebounds handing UMF their first conference loss.
Jessica Banks, Castleton State (Fr. G - Milford, Conn.)
In a 1-1 week for the Spartans, Banks averaged 13.5 points per contest. In a mid-week loss to Norwich  the freshman point guard played all 40 minutes, and turned the ball over just once while scoring 11 points and dishing out 3 assists. In Saturday's win versus Lesley, Banks scored a career-high 16 points.
