Toby Brittian, Lesley (Jr. F - South
Kingston, R.I.)
In their only game of the week Brittian led the Lynx past Mount
Ida College 81-78. Brittan, playing all 40 minutes, shot 82%
from the floor (14-17) and 9-10 from the foul line accumulating
37 points. He also had 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 blocks and 6
steals in the three point conference victory. |
Aecio Madeira, Thomas (Fr. F/C -
Providence, R.I.)
Madeira had 29 points and 19 rebounds in a conference
win over Johnson State College, and 31 points and 12 rebounds in
a non-conference overtime loss at St. Joseph's College.
For the week, the freshman center averaged 30 points and 15.5
rebounds per game. |

Alyssa Burns, Maine Maritime (Jr. F -
Dixfield, Maine)
Burns her team to three conference road victories
averaging 20 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3 steals per game while
shooting 64% from the floor (23-36) and 66% beyond the arc
(6-9). In the Mariners win over conference rival Husson, she
missed just one attempt shot going 7-8 from the floor while
posting 5 boards, 2 assists, and 2 steals with 19 points. On
Saturday at Elms, Burns played only 17 minutes and scoring 15
points, grabbing 5 boards and recording 3 steals. Burns finished
off the week with 26 points against Becker in 25 minutes going
9-17 from the floor with 6 boards and 4 steals. |
Toby Martin, Thomas (Fr. G - Wayne,
Maine)
Martin continued to pace the Terriers NAC leading offense
averaging 19 points in a 2-0 week. The freshman guard scored 14
points in a one point road win at Castleton State and dropped 24
the next night on 9-12 shooting to lead Thomas over Johnson
State. |
