Men's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Frank Ponte, Johnson State (Sr. F - Harwinton, Conn.)
Ponte averaged 28.7 and 6.0 rebounds points while shooting 58% from the field in a 1-2 week for Johnson State. The senior forward went for 32 points and 7 rebounds in a 111-94 loss at Castleton State, scored 33 points with eight boards in a 90-85 loss to Elms, and dropped 21 points in a 80-75 win against Becker.

Antoine Holder, Elms (Fr. F ? Hartford, Conn.)
Holder averaged 15.3 points and 8.6 rebounds to help lead the Blazers to a perfect 3-0 mark in conference play last week including his third double-double of the year; a 19-point, 10-rebound effort at Johnson State on Saturday.

Women's Basketball

Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Annie McIntosh, Husson (Jr. C - New Gloucester, Maine)
McIntosh averaged 13.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 7.5 blocks while shooting just under 50% from the floor in a pair of tight conference road wins this week. In a one-point victory at Mount Ida, McIntosh recorded a rare triple double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 blocks. The junior center led Husson with 15 points and nine boards in a 55-52 win at Lasell.

Kim Drosdik, Thomas (Jr. G - Farmington, Maine)
Drosdik averaged 28.5 points while hitting 63% (17-27) attempts from behind the three-point arc as Thomas won two league games away from home. The junior guard broke her own school record for three pointers made in a game as she connected on 11 of 15 on her way to a career high 35 points at Bay Path. She continued her hot hand on Sunday at Lesley scoring 22, including six more 3-pointers.

Jess Banks, Castleton State (Fr. G - Milford, Conn.)
Banks led Castleton State to three league victories averaging 12.7 points, 5.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds all while having 2 total turnovers for the week from her point guard position. In a win versus Johnson State, Banks scored 15 points grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. In Saturday's win versus Becker Banks went 7-10 from the field scoring a career-best 17 points while dishing out 6 assists and hauling in 4 rebounds committing zero turnovers. Against Elms on Sunday, the freshman point guard distributed the ball very well scoring 6 points and dishing out 5 assists with no turnovers.
