Men's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

David Williams, Elms (Jr. G - Hartford, Conn.)
Williams dropped in a game-high 25 points on 8 of 14 shooting from the field and 8 of 11 from the free throw line to key the Blazers to a crucial 82-72 conference win over Lasell in their only game last week. With the win, Elms leads the Lasers by two games with three to play a top the NAC West Division.

Chris Finnimore, Becker (Fr. F - Worcester, Mass.)
Finnimore averaged 20 points and 6.5 rebounds in two games last week for Becker while shooting 54% from the floor.

Women's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Alyssa Burns, Maine Maritime (Jr. F - Dixfield, Maine)
Burns averaged 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 4 steals per game while shooting 65% from the field as Maine Maritime won three conference contests last week. Against Thomas, she had 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, while shooting 9-11 from the floor. She topped that performance with 20 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, and 5 steals against Wheelock in only 20 minutes. Then on Sunday, Burns had 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals in MMA's 79-54 win over Mt. Ida.

Beth Pion, Becker (Fr. F - Endfield, Conn.)
Becker's Pion averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 3.5 blocked shots and 3 steals in two games last week for Becker College. In a mid-week contest versus Bay Path College, the freshman forward had 18 points, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 3 steals and set a career high with 18 rebounds. Pion led all scorers with 18 points and 8 rebounds in a loss to Lasell on Saturday.
