Men's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Jeff Kotkowski, Becker (Sr. C - Melrose, Mass.)
Kotkowski led the Hawks to a 2-1 week averaging 20.3 points and 25.0 rebounds while shooting 60.7 % from the field and 82% from the free throw line. In the weeks only loss versus Elms College Jeff had a game high 22 points and 24 rebounds. In the two wins Kotkowski had 25 points and 24 rebounds against Johnson State and in the season finale at home versus Castleton State the senior center finished his last game with a career high 27 rebounds while adding 14 points.

Antoine Holder, Elms (Fr. F - Hartford, Conn.)
Holder averaged 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds, including consecutive double-doubles in the Blazers' final two regular season home victories over Castleton State College and Johnson State College last weekend. He registered 12 points and 12 rebounds in Friday night's win over Castleton and followed with a 12-point, 10-rebound effort in Saturday's win over Johnson State.

Women's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Carmen Ballard, Husson (Jr. F - Skowhegan, Maine)
Ballard shot 58% from the floor while averaging 19.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists to lead the Braves to two conference wins. The junior scored 18 points and grabbed nine boards while dishing five assists in a 79-66 victory over Thomas.

Beth Pion, Becker (Fr. F - Enfield, Conn.)
The freshman forward averaged 37 minutes, 24.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 7.0 blocks as the Lady Hawks went 2-1 last week. In a win over Wheelock College Pion set career highs with 20 rebounds, and 8 blocks, she also tied with a team high 22 points. In the weeks second win versus Johnson State College she had game highs in points with 28 and rebounds with 15. In the season finally loss to Castleton State College, Pion finished her first season with her 12th double double of the year with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
