Baseball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Phil Puleo, Castleton State (Jr. 3B - Utica, N.Y.)
In a 5-1 week for Castleton, Puleo provided the offensive punch. The junior third baseman hit .455 (10-22) over the six games, driving in 10 runs and scoring 5 more. With a place in the conference tournament at stake Puleo led the Spartans to 4 straight wins over conference foes Becker and Elms, driving in 6 runs and scoring 5, including a grand slam homerun versus Becker.

Anthony Derosa, Husson (Fr. P - Bangor, Maine)
In a conference game at Maine-Farmington, Derosa pitched seven complete innings allowing six hits and three runs while walking two and striking out 10 as Husson picked up a league win to secure the second seed in the upcoming NAC baseball tournament.

Softball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Kristi Guzzo, Elms (Sr. P - Springfield, Mass.)
Guzzo fired four complete-game victories in a 4-1 week for the Blazers. She registered a 1.17 ERA with 34 strikeouts, allowed just five earned runs and issued just six walks in 30 innings pitched. She threw her 11th complete-game shutout of the year in a 6-0 win over Lasell in game one of Sunday's home doubleheader.

Jackie Kravatz, Johnson State (Fr. C - Hollywood, Fla.)
Kravatz helped Johnson State to a 2-0 week batting .429 (3-for-7), scoring 2 runs and hitting a pair of doubles.

Men's Lacrosse

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Brett Conley, Mount Ida (Fr. A - Fairfield, Conn.)
Freshman Brett Conley propelled Mount Ida to its third straight North Atlantic Conference Tournament Championship, scoring five goals and assisting on four others in the Mustangs 16-3 victory over Castleton State College on Saturday. He also poured in four markers in Mount Ida's 21-5 triumph over Daniel Webster College on Wednesday. For the week, the attacker totaled 13 points on nine goals and four assists.
