Dorso had two goals and one assist in a 3-2 overtime win against
conference foe Simmons College. |

Perkins, Simmons
(Fr. Forward - White River Junction, Vt.)
Perkins scored her first career goal in Simmons' 3-2 overtime
loss to North Atlantic Conference-rival Husson on Saturday.
Perkins, a native of White River Junction, Vt. leads the Sharks
with eight shots in two games, including five in her collegiate
opener against Wheaton on Thursday. |

Brian Leighton, Mount Ida
(So. Goalkeeper - Turner, Maine)
Leighton turned in a pair of shutouts to lead Mount Ida to a
perfect 2-0 mark last week. The Mustangs defeated Curry College
on Thursday and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Sunday,
each by scores of 1-0. Leighton stopped five shots versus Curry
and followed that with a seven save performance versus
Massachusetts Maritime. |
Tim Hedrick, Mount Ida
(Fr. Forward - Killingworth, Conn.)
Hedrick netted the match-winner in Mount Ida's 1-0 victory over
Curry College on Thursday. The marker was the first of his
career and came in his collegiate debut. |

Jodi Fralick, Lesley
(Fr. Forward - Woburn, Mass.)
In a 1-0-1 week for the Lynx Fralick made a lasting impression
in her collegiate debut scoring six goals with two assists in
the two games. The first year striker already has 14 points very
early on in this young season. |
Samantha Waters, Castleton State
(Fr. Midfielder - Burnt Hills, N.Y.)
In Castleton's only game of the week, a 2-1 win over NAC foe
Johnson State, Waters scored her first collegiate goal. The
goal, which ended up being the game winner, was redirected off
from a crossing pass in the 35th minute of play. |
Volleyball

Adrienne Xenos, Mount Ida
(Sr. OH - Brockton, Mass.)
Xenos piled up 2.71 kills per game, 13 service aces, 13 digs and
16 blocks in a 1-4 week for Mount Ida. She tallied 18 kills,
three aces and four blocks versus Newbury College on Friday.
Xenos then collected 11 kills, six blocks and four digs versus
Bates College on Saturday, as she cemented her spot on the
Cobblestone Invitational All-Tournament squad. |
Jenna Rowan, Maine-Farmington
(Fr. Outside Hitter - Kittery, Maine)
Rowan made an impressive debut this past week, tallying 29 kills
in a 4-1 week for the Beavers. She opened the week with a
match-high 11 kills in a win over Husson and, after playing
sparingly against Maine-Machias, she added 11 more in a win over
Maine Maritime at the Colby Invitational. She also contributed
four aces and a team-high 34 digs during the week. |
Men's Cross Country

Michael Sullivan, Castleton State
(Fr. - Granby, Conn.)
Michael Sullivan placed fourth in his second collegiate meet,
the Castleton Invitational running the 8K course in 29:31.79 to
help lead the Spartans to second place. |
Michael Sterns, Johnson State
(Fr. - Hinesburg, Vt.)
Stearns helped the Badgers to a third-place finish at the
Castleton State Invitational, their first race of the season,
coming in 13th place overall (31:58.23).

Elizabeth Hanlon, Castleton State
(Fr. - Blackstone, Mass.)
Elizabeth Halnon won her first ever collegiate meet, taking the
top spot in the Castleton Invitational. The freshman ran the 5K
course in 23:18.58 to lead the Spartans to first place. |
Emily Farley,
Maine-Farmington
(Fr.)
In her first collegiate race, freshman Emily Farley finished
fourth to lead the UMF women?s cross country team to a
fourth-place finish at the season-opening UNE Invitational in
Biddeford on Saturday. Farley posted a time of 21:48 over the
5000m course, just :40 off the winning pace and was three
minutes faster than the next UMF finisher. |
Women's Tennis

Chelsie O'Connell, Johnson State
(Soph. - Lewiston, Maine)
O'Connell won her #2 singles match 7-6, 6-1 and combined with a
Patty Quick to win her #1 doubles match leading the Badgers to a
6-3 team win over Green Mountain College on Sunday, the first
match of the season for JSC. |
