Field Hockey

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KaroleAnne Emery, Husson
(Sr. Forward - Parkman, Maine)

Emery had 5 goals and 3 assists in the two conference wins this week. The senior scored 3 goals with one assist against Becker and added 2 goals and 2 assists against Elms. The Eagles were 2-1 this week with both wins coming against conference foes.
Emily Webb, Simmons
(Fr. Forward - East Falmouth, Mass.)

Freshman Emily Webb recorded her first collegiate points last week, tallying five in three games. She had an assist in her team's conference win over Elms on Saturday and tallied two goals, including the game-winner, in Simmons' 5-1 victory over Becker on Sunday.

Men's Soccer

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Alec Brown, Maine-Farmington
(Fr. Forward - Berwick, Maine)

Brown tallied his first three collegiate scores in a pair of NAC wins this weekend, helping UMF to a 3-0 start to conference play. He scored twice in a 4-0 win over Castleton State on Saturday and then struck in overtime as UMF defeated Johnson State, 1-0, to complete a perfect 2-0 weekend.

Hirohi Ueda, Husson
(FY Forward - Shizuoka, Japan)

Ueda had 2 goals and an assist this week. His assist came against U. Maine Machias in which the Eagles won 3-0 and his two goals game in a conference win over Becker College 3-0.

Women's Soccer

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Amanda Janik, Bay Path
(Junior - Agawam, Mass.)

Janik scored two goals in Bay Path College's NAC win over Lasell College 2-1. The junior scored both goals in the 2nd half with the game winner coming at around the 5 minute mark.

Krystyna Gagne, Elms
(Fr. Forward - Florence, Mass.)

Gagne recorded 3 goals and 2 assists for 8 points to lead the Blazers to a perfect 3-0 mark last week that included conference victories over Lesley University (3-0), Maine Maritime Academy (6-1) and Husson College (1-0).

Volleyball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Angele Lavoie, Lasell
(Sr. Outside Hitter - Epping, N.H.)

In a 3-0 week for the Lasers, Lavoie averaged 3.4 kills per game and 5.0 digs per game as Lasell defeated two conference opponents to improve to 4-0 in the conference.

Jenna Rowan, Maine-Farmington
(Fr. Outside Hitter - Kittery, Maine)

Rowan was a big part of UMF's 3-0 NAC week, collecting a team-high 22 kills and a .381 hitting percentage to lead the Beavers in both categories. She also added a team-high 13 service aces in the nine games as the Beavers are off to an 8-2 start this season.

Women's Tennis

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Raquel Babeau, Bay Path
(Sophomore -  North Adams, Mass.)

Babeau helped Bay Path College 2-1 to a 6-3 non-conference win over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.  Raquel won #2 singles 6-0, 6-0 to improve to 6-0 on the season and also won #1 doubles 8-4 to also improve and remain undefeated at 6-0 for the season.

Julia Bendzin, Bay Path
(First Year - Poestenkill, N.Y.)

The first year student-athlete helped Bay Path College 2-1 to a 6-3 non-conference win over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.  Bendzin won #5 singles 6-2, 6-1 to improve to 6-0 on the season and also won #3 doubles 8-0 to remain undefeated at 6-0 for the season.

Men's Cross Country

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Gabe McConkey, Johnson State
(Junior - Afton, Va.)

McConkey's 3rd place overall finish (28:27) helped Johnson State defend their team championship at the Blazer Invitational.

Michael Stearns, Johnson State
(Fr. Hinesburg, Vt.)

Stearns helped the Badgers to a second consecutive team title at the Blazer Invitational. Stearns finished the race in 29:04, good enough for 4th place overall.

Women's Cross Country

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Catherine Andrews, Elms
(So. Feeding Hills, Mass.)

Andrews placed first overall in the 33-runner field to help lead Elms College to team championship honors at last Saturday's Blazers Invitational. Andrews clocked a winning time of 21:12 over the 5,000-meter (3.1-mile) course.

Emily Farley, Maine-Farmington
(Fr. Mt. Desert Island, Maine)

Farley led UMF for the second-straight week, placing 10th among 239 runners at the Pop Crowell XC Invitational at Gordon College. Her time of 20:20 represented a 6:34 pace, which was just :22 off the winning pace.
