Michele DeSantis, Becker
(Senior, Goalkeeper - South Plainfield, N.J.)
DeSantis backboned the Hawks, with back-to-back shutouts, to two
NAC wins last week. In a midweek contest vs. Elms College
Michele had 2 saves and led the Hawks to their first win of the
season, 4-0. On Senior Day this past Saturday Desantis made 7
saves in a 2-0 win over Wheelock.Cori Eggert, Western
New England
(Junior, Forward - Denville, N.J.)
Cori led the Golden Bears to three victories by scoring six
goals for a 12-point week. She tallied two goals against Smith
(3-0) on Thursday and added a pair of goals in NAC road wins
over Husson (4-2) on Saturday and Simmons (3-1) on Sunday. |
Elisha Dorso,
Husson
(First Year, Forward - Farmingdale, Maine)
The Eagles were 1-1 this weekend with Dorso scoring in both
games. She had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 loss against WNEC.
Dorso had the game winning goal with 46 seconds left in a 2-1
win over Castleton State.
Emily Webb, Simmons
(Freshman, Forward - East Falmouth, Mass.)
Emily Webb scored her second game-winning goal of the season in
Simmons's 3-2 overtime victory over conference-rival Castleton
State on Saturday. Webb, who was held without a point in the
Shark's other two games last week, scored with 1:32 remaining in
the first overtime period to give her team its first overtime
win if five tries this season. |

Zach Gagne, Lasell
(Sophomore, Forward - Somerset, Mass.)
Gagne scored three goals last week against NAC opponents
including the winning overtime goal against Castleton State
College to keep the Lasers undefeated in the NAC. |
Sean Moylan, Elms
(Freshman, Forward - Chicopee, Mass.)
Moylan netted four games in four games last week to help lead
the Blazers to a 2-1-1 week. He scored the game-tying goal in
last Monday's 1-1 tie with Rivier, then netted all three goals
for the Blazers in their conference victories at Thomas and
Maine-Farmington this past weekend. |

Katie Lorenco, Mount Ida
(Freshman, Midfielder - Mattapoisett, Mass.)
Freshman Katie Lorenco tallied two match-winning goals to lead
Mount Ida to a perfect 3-0 week. She netted a penalty shot to
boost the Mustangs to a 2-1 win over Becker College on
Wednesday. The midfielder then chipped in with one assist in
Mount Ida's 4-0 win over Johnson State College on Saturday.
Lorenco rounded out her week by scoring the loan goal in the
Mustangs 1-0 shutout of Castleton State College on Sunday. |
Vanessa Pare, Elms
(Freshman, Midfielder - Belchertown, Mass.)
Pare netted the game-winning goals against both Lasell and
Maine-Farmington to help lead the Blazers remain undefeated
in-conference this season. Pare game-winner against Lasell came
with 6:06 remaining in overtime. |
Volleyball

Adrienne Xenos, Mount Ida
(Senior, Outside Hitter - Brockton, Mass.)
Xenos posted a hitting percentage of .591, as she helped Mount
Ida to a 1-1 record. The outside hitter averaged 2.50 kills and
1.00 digs per game in six games played. She also came up with
seven service aces. Xenos finished with six kills, two digs and
two aces at River College on Thursday. She then collected nine
kills, five aces and four digs versus Daniel Webster on
Saturday. The Mustangs fell 3-0 at Rivier and upended Daniel
Webster 3-0. |
Amanda Pereira, Mount Ida
(Freshman, OH - New Bedford, Mass.)
Pereira recorded 2.83 kills and 3.50 digs per game, as the
Mustangs went 1-1 last week. The outside hitter accumulated a
hitting percentage of .290. She collected eight kills and nine
digs in a 3-0 loss at Rivier on Thursday. Pereira then tallied
nine kills and 12 digs to boost Mount Ida to a 3-0 win over
Daniel Webster College on Saturday. |
Women's Tennis

Patty Quick, Johnson State
(Senior - Norfolk, Mass.)
Quick was 1-1 in singles action and 2-0 in doubles play in JSC's
0-2 as a team. She was victorious in both singles and doubles
play against NAC foe Castleton St. and earned JSC's only point
in a loss to Lyndon St. |
Chelsey McRae, Becker
(Sophomore - Gloucester, Mass.)
Playing her first season of women's tennis, Chelsey went 1-0 in
singles play and 2-0 in doubles this week. In her singles match
against Pine Manor College she won 6-4, 6-4. Paired with Allison
Flynn, McRae won her doubles match vs. Saint Joseph College
(Conn.) 8-3 and with Mandy Kennedy won 8-1 vs. PMC. |
Men's Cross Country

Drew Croteau, Maine-Farmington
(Senior - Durham, N.H.)
Croteau led UMF at the Maine State XC Championships, finishing
just :30 off the school record, clocking a 27:23 over the
five-mile course. Croteau placed 27th out of 115 finishers in a
very competitive field. |
Michael Sullivan, Castleton
(Freshman - Granby, Conn.)
Sullivan aided Castleton's run to a second place finish at the
Johnson State Invitational, scoring in fifth place with a time
of 29:15 in the 8K. |
Women's Cross Country

Mary-Caitie O'Donnell, Lesley
(Freshman - Olympia, Wash.)
MC ran the 5K course in 21:15, just three seconds off of
the winner, which was good enough for second place overall in
the Saints Invitational Cross-Country Meet.Kayla McKenna, Lasell
(Sophomore - Warwick, R.I.)
McKenna finished 4th with a 21:35 time in the Saints
Invitational which is her best finish of the season. Her
performance helped the Lasers place third overall in the meet. |
Emily Farley, Maine-Farmington
(Freshman - Mt. Desert Island, Maine)
Farley continued her strong rookie campaign, finishing 24th
among the 130-runner field at the Maine State Cross Country
Championships. Once again the Beavers' top finisher, she covered
the 5k course in 20:34. |
