Field Hockey

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KaroleAnne Emery, Husson
(Senior, Forward - Parkman, Maine)

Emery had a hand in all six Husson scores this week with 3 goals and 3 assists in the two games. In a 4-3 loss at UNE she had a pair of goals and an assist. Emery factored in all three goals in a 3-2 OT win against Saint Joseph College. She had 2 assists and the game winning goal in overtime.
Kelsey Field, Western New England
(Freshman, Forward - Brattleboro, Vt.)

Kelsey scored the first seven points of her collegiate career (2 goals, 3 assists) in a conference win over Wheelock.

Men's Soccer

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Michael Grieco, Johnson State
(Senior, Forward - Andover, Mass.)

Grieco scored five goals and added an assist in a 2-1 week for Johnson State. Greico scored 2 goals in a 2-0 win over Elms and added 3 goals and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Becker a midst a log jam in the NAC playoff picture.

Alec Brown, Maine-Farmington
(Freshman, Forward - South Berwick, Maine)

Brown scored a pair of goals in UMF's season-ending, 3-0 win over Thomas, helping the Beavers secure a home game in the NAC playoffs. Brown scored the first two goals of the game, striking once in each half of play.

Women's Soccer

Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Erin Campbell, Maine-Farmington
(Senior, Midfielder - Hampden, Maine)

Campbell scored a pair of goals in UMF's season-ending, 3-0 win over Thomas. She tallied her first score at the 49:25 mark and then struck again less than 10 minutes later to seal the victory.

Jen LeDoux, Elms
(Senior, Forward - Easthampton, Mass.)

LeDoux netted a combined three goals in last weekend's conference victories over Johnson State and Castleton, including her team-leading 12th and 13th tallies of the year in Sunday's win over Castleton.

Kerrie Bowden, Elms
(Sophomore, Midfielder - Chicopee, Mass.)

Bowden registered her first collegiate-career hat-trick with a three-goal effort in the Blazers' 4-0 shutout victory over Johnson State last Saturday.

Volleyball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Katelyn Rasich, Lasell
(Junior, Setter - Hellertown, Pa.)

Rasich averaged 7.3 assists and 2.5 digs per game last week as Lasell went 4-0 on the week and 2-0 in the NAC.

Amy Young, Maine Maritime
(Freshman, Middle Hitter - Cumberland, Maine)

Young had 137 total attacks in the week for the Lady Mariners, also averaging 2.3 kills per game. The freshman recorded a school record 6 blocks in a 3-1 conference victory against Husson.

Women's Tennis

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Allison Flynn, Becker
(Sophomore - Wilmington, Mass.)

Flynn backboned the Lady Hawks to their first NAC tennis title. Allison was the #1 singles winner at the tournament winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Paired with Lindsay Lapen the duo won the #1 doubles flight. Flynn and Lapen went undefeated in singles and as doubles partners in conference play. Flynn also took home the hardware as the NAC Player of the Year and was named to the All-Conference team.

Lindsay Lapen, Becker
(Freshman - Lancaster, Mass.)

Lapen was the #2 singles winner for the Lady Hawks as they captured their first NAC tennis title. She won in straight sets 6-1, 6-3. Paired with Allison Flynn the duo won the #1 doubles flight. Flynn and Lapen went undefeated in singles and as doubles partners in conference play. Lapen was named the NAC Rookie of the Year and was selected to the All-Conference team.

Men's Cross Country

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Chris Gatchell, Castleton State
(Sophomore - Waterford, Maine)

Gatchell ran a 27:03 in the R.P.I. Invitational on Saturday, good enough for a 39th place finish in a race that featured 203 runners.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Elizabeth Halnon, Castleton State
(Freshman - Blackstone, Mass.)

Halnon finished the R.P.I. Invitational 5K in 20:09, good enough to score her in 60th position out of 202 runners.
