Men's Basketball

Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Joseph Chatman, Lesley
(Junior, Guard - Boston, Mass.)

In three games this week Chatman was the engine of the Lynx offense this week. The junior point guard averaged 24.7 points while at the same time averaging 7.0 assists per game. Chatman shot 22-48 from the field (.458) and an impressive 23-24 (.958) from the foul line. Chatman also averaged 3.66 steals per game and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Tyler Muzzy, Husson
(Senior, Forward - Greenville, Maine)

The Eagles were 3-0 this week and 2-0 in NAC play. Muzzy averaged 30 points and 9 rebounds in the two conference wins. He had 17 points and 7 rebounds in a win over Mount Ida and a career high 35 points and 11 rebounds in a 93-90 win over Lesley University. Muzzy finished the weekend 19-32 from the field (4-7 3fg) and 10-12 from the foul line. In a non conference win over Saint Joseph College he had 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Martin Cleveland , Husson
(First Year, Center - Portland, Maine)

Cleveland helped pace the Eagles to a 3-0 week and 2-0 in NAC play. In the two conference wins this weekend he averaged 18 points and 11.5 rebounds. He had 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks in a 90-54 win over Mount Ida and then had 25 points and 11 rebounds in a 93-90 win over Lesley University. Cleveland finished the weekend 14-27 from the field and 8-11 on the foul line. In a non-conference game against Saint Joseph College he had 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Women's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Jenn Whiting, Castleton State
(Senior, Forward - Granville, N.Y.)

Whiting supplied Castleton with the necessary offense to win a pair of conference games over the weekend averaging 24.5 points and 9.5 rebounds. In a 72-52 win over Wheelock the senior forward scored a career-best 30 points and hauled in 11 rebounds while shooting 14-22 from the field. On Saturday in a 77-49 win over Bay Path Whiting tallied 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the Spartans to victory.

Jessica Hunt, Bay Path
(Freshman, Forward - Madison, Conn.)

Hunt averaged 14.6 points and 9.6 rebounds in three games last week for the Wildcats. In a conference game against Johnson State, the freshman led all scorers with 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.
