Men's Basketball

Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Jaime Crawford, Lasell
(Junior, Forward - Coral Springs, FL)

Crawford averaged 25 points per game last week including 29 against Lesley University which helped the Lasers remain undefeated in the NAC. Crawford also averaged 3 assists per game and went 11-11 from the free throw line.

Renato Lindmets, Elms
(Junior, Forward - Springfield, Mass.)

Lindmets averaged 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and converted on 22 of 36 field goal attempts (.611) in just 25 minutes per game to help lead the Blazers to a perfect 3-0 week with conference victories over Lesley, Maine-Farmington and Thomas.

Martin Cleveland, Husson
(First Year, Center - Portland, Maine)
Cleveland averaged 13.5 points an 9 rebounds as Husson went 2-0 in NAC play. The first year center scored 24 points with 11 boards and 2 blocks in a win over Johnson State.

 

Women's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Alyssa Burns, Maine Maritime Academy
(Senior, Guard/Forward - Dixfield, Maine)

Burns averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in a 2-0 week for the Lady Mariners. MMA beat two previously undefeated teams in NAC play, Johnson State and Castleton State over the weekend. Burns had 18 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, 1 block and 5 steals in just 24 minutes against Johnson State. The next day the senior scored 20 points, grabbed 10 boards, dished out 4 assists, had 2 blocks and 3 steals in MMA's 62-49 win over Castleton State. Burns shot 52% from the floor and 79% from the free throw line.

Sarah Brown, Wheelock
(Freshman, Guard - Plainville, Conn.)

Brown had 17 points, 3 steals and 3 assists in a loss to Mt. Ida on Tuesday night. She followed that up with a 11 point, 5 rebound, 3 steal performance in Thursday night's loss to Daniel Webster.
