Men's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Emmanuel Masumbuko, Becker
(Junior, Center - Burlington, Vt.)

Masumbuko averaged a double double, 21 points and 14 rebounds, in two conference games last week. In Becker?s first conference win of the season versus Johnson State 84-73, the junior center had 24 points on 8 for 17 shooting. He was 8-12 from the free throw line and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. In a 82-76 loss to Castleton State Masumbuko had 18 points and 15 rebounds.

Martin Cleveland, Husson
(First Year, Center - Portland, Maine)

The Eagles were 3-0 this week in conference play pushing their record to 16-5 (11-0 NAC). Cleveland averaged 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 2.1 steals for the week. High game for the week came against UMF with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals and had 13 points and 8 rebounds against Lasell.

Women's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Co-ROOKIES OF THE WEEK

Caitlin Laflin, Maine-Farmington
(Freshman, Forward - Farmingdale, Maine)

Shooting 67.5% from the floor, Laflin averaged 21.3 points and 8.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week for UMF, which ran its win streak to 10 games. The team's leading scorer in all three games, she scored 16 points in a win at Husson on Monday night, adding a team-high 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season. Two days later, Laflin scored 18 points and added six rebounds in a win over Colby. She finished the week by establishing a new career high with 30 points, connecting on 14-of-16 shots from the floor, in a victory over Lesley.

Claudia Martineau, Johnson State
(Freshman, Center - Washington, Vt.)

Martineau averaged 27 points and 4.5 boards while shooting 54% from the floor in a 1-1 week for JSC. Martineau tallied a school-record 33 points in the Badgers road victory at Elms College.

Jessica Hunt, Bay Path
(Freshman - Madison, Conn.)

Hunt averaged 23 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 3 steals per game while shooting 60% from the field for the week. Leading Bay Path to their first conference win of the year, Hunt scored a season-high 25 and pulled down 9 boards in a 61-47 defeat of Wheelock.
