Doug Williams, Mount Ida
(Senior, Forward - Ellicot City, Md.)
Senior Doug Williams averaged 24.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per
game to help boost the Mount Ida College men's basketball team
to a berth in the NAC Tournament. The forward shot 71.1% (27-38)
from the floor and 78.3% (18-23) from the free-throw stripe, as
the Mustangs posted a 2-1 record last week. Williams racked up
27 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks in Mount
Ida's 80-73 victory over Becker on Tuesday. He followed that
with a 24-point, seven-board effort in the Mustangs key 90-71
triumph over Thomas College on Friday. The captain rounded out
his week with 22 points, five rebounds and a pair of assists in
a 3-point loss to UMF on Saturday. |
Brock Bradford, Husson
(First Year, Guard - Kenduskeag, Maine)
The Eagles were 3-0 this week picking up two conference wins in
route to a perfect 14-0 regular season in conference play.
Bradford averaged 8.8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals
on the week. In an overtime win over UMF he had 7 points, 6
rebounds, and 3 steals. |

Kari Simpson, Maine-Farmington
(Senior, Forward - Wells, Maine)
Simpson averaged 20.0 points and 11.3 rebounds as the Beavers
finished off a perfect NAC season with three wins last week.
Simpson scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a Monday
night win over Husson and then scored 20 points, with nine
rebounds in a win at Lasell on Friday. In the regular season
finale on Saturday, she scored 19 points, grabbed 15 rebounds
and handed out five assists. She shot 58.5% from the floor and
.455 from three-point range in the three games, posting the
eighth and ninth double-doubles of her season. |
Claudia Martineau, Johnson State
(Freshman, Center - Washington, Vt.)
Martineau averaged 16 ppg, 9 rpg, 2 bpg, and 1.3 spg while
connecting on 14 of 17 free throw attempts (82%) in a 2-1 week
for Johnson State. |
