Wade Oliver, St. Joseph's (ME)
(Sophomore, Outfielder - Owls Head, Maine)
In a 3-0 weekend, Oliver helped the Monks improve to 10-0, going
5/10 with 3 RBI, 1 BB, and 2 SB. Oliver was perfect in the field
with 10 PO and no errors.

Travis Bass, Castleton
(Freshman, Shortstop - West Hartford, Conn.)
In Castleton's split at the Coast Guard Academy, Bass played a
major roll both at the plate and in the field for the Spartans.
The freshman started both games at short stop, fielding all
chances cleanly on defense and boasting a .625 on base
percentage from the leadoff spot. Bass was 3-for-6 at the plate,
including a homerun, drove in three runs and scored three times
as well. |

Shawna Kelly, Lasell
(Senior, First Base - Windham, Conn.)
Kelly had a .522 overage last week in Florida going 12 for 23
with 1 double, a triple and a home run. She also knocked in six
runs and had 71 put-outs. |
Lauren Verab, Bay Path
(First Year, Third Base - Waterbury, Conn.)
Verab helped Bay Path College in a doubleheader sweep of
Mitchell College and in the process hit. 883 going 5 for 6 with
2 singles, a double, triple and her first collegiate homerun.
She scored 6 times and had 3 RBI while walking 3 times. |

Michael Mamunes, Castleton
(Sophomore, Goalkeeper - Manchester, Vt.)
Mamunes posted an .814 save percentage to lead the Spartans to
their first victory, of the young season as he put the clamps
down on Curry College in a 9-5 win. The sophomore goalie
recorded 23 saves, including a perfect second-half in which he
stopped 14 shots as Castleton rallied from a 5-2 halftime
deficit. |
Billy Noyes, Johnson State
(Freshman, Attacker - Saugus, Mass.)
Noyes helped Johnson State to a 13-2 victory over Mitchell
College in their season-opener by scoring two goals, assisting
on two others, and snagging 10 groundballs. |
Men's Tennis

Robbie Gray, Castleton
(Sophomore - Red Bank, N.J.)
Gray led Castleton to an 8-1 victory over NAC foe, Johnson
State. Playing in the #1 singles spot, Gray battled back to win
a three-set match after dropping the opening set in a
tie-breaker. |
Neil Perron, Johnson State
(Freshman - Quechee, Vt.)
Perron went 1-1 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles action as the
Badgers went 1-1 as a team in their opening weekend. Perron fell
to his Castleton State opponent and defeated his Green Mountain
opponent while he teamed with Dylan Louko to win a pair of #1
doubles matches. |
