NAC Field Hockey Weekly Honors

Meghan Konowich, Castleton State
College
(Jr., Back - Canastota, NY)
In Castleton's only game of the week, a 3-2 overtime victory over
previous NAC unbeaten Husson, Konowich came up huge. The junior
back helped neutralize the potent Eagle attack for 70 minutes of
regulation play. In overtime Konowich provided the assist on the
game-winning goal, just 27 seconds after being subbed in. After
stealing the ball at midfield Konowich carried to the corner and
blasted a perfect cross in front of the cage that was sent in,
forcing a three-way tie atop the NAC standings.
Kristin Chambers, Me.-Farmington
(SR, F - Gorham, ME)
Chambers led the Beavers to a 4-2 victory over the University of
New England in its only contest this week. Chambers collected a hat
trick in Farmington's victory.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Austyn Joaquin, Simmons College
(Sophomore, Forward - Dartmouth, Mass.)
Austyn Joaquin scored a goal in each of Simmons games last week to
help the Sharks earn a pair of wins and extend their win streak to
three. Joaquin scored in a 3-2 win over Elms on Tuesday and had the
game-winner in a 1-0 win over Salve Regina on Thursday.

NAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ryan Hahn, Castleton State College
(Jr., Forward - Benson, VT)
Hahn picked the right time of the year to get hot. In Saturday's
4-2 victory over Thomas the junior tallied a hat-trick to lead the
Spartans. With the win Castleton clinched home-field advantage
throughout the NAC tournament.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Aaron Woodman, Husson
(FY, F - Dexter, ME)
Husson won thier only game this week, 1-0 over conference foe Elms
College. Woodman scored the game winning goal at the 85:42
mark.

NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Micole Bellimer, Castleton State
College
(So., Goal Keeper - White River Junction, VT)
Bellimer made 14 saves in Castleton's 0-0 tie with
Maine-Farmington on Sunday to keep Castleton in the game. It was
the first time all season the Beavers have been held scoreless in
conference play, and just the third overall.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Alyson Durben, Lesley University
(FR, MF - Stow, MA)
With a goal and an assist for the week, Durben established herself
as a vital part to the potent Lynx offense. Her assist came in a
nail-biting 1-0 overtime victory against Wheelock College as she
passed to teammate Jodi Fralick for the goal. Her goal came in only
27 minutes of play in a 3-0 Lesley victory against Bay Path
College. The Lynx will look to Durben to continue her success in
the NAC playoffs.

NAC Women's Tennis Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Raquel Babeu, Bay Path College
(Jr., # 1 singles - North Adams, MA)
Raquel won the #1 singles title in the NAC Championships completed
on Sunday. She ran her record to 13-3 during the seasonand a
perfect record in the NAC. Bay Path College finished in 3rd place
at tHe NAC Championships.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Catie Sivret, Becker College
(Fr, - Stow, MA)
At the NAC Tournament Sivret won the second-flight singles match
6-4. 6-3 over Jamie Olson from Castleton State and paired with
Allison Flynn won the first flight doubles match 8-3 over
Castleton. Sivret help Becker win their second consecutive NAC
Title.

NAC Women's Volleyball Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Becca Allen, Maine Maritime
Academy
(Senior, Setter - Bucksport, ME)
The senior setter led MMA to two huge conference victories over
Castleton and Husson this week. Allen had 29 assists, 11 digs and 2
aces against Castleton. She backed up that performance with 29
assists and 18 digs against NAC rival Husson College. The 2 wins
secure home court advantage for the Lady Mariners throughout the
upcoming NAC playoffs.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kelsea Laubenstein, Becker College
(Fr, S - Randolph, MA)
Kelsea had 100 assists in four matches last week for the Becker
Hawks, who went 2-2 (1-1 NAC). Laubenstein averaged 5.88 assist per
game. In Conference play she had 33 assists and 3 kills in a 5 set
loss to Elms and 21 assists and 7 digs in a 5 match win over UMF.

NAC Cross Country Weekly Honors
MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Nicholas Grasso, Castleton State
College
(So., - Schenectady, NY)
Grasso was Castleton's top finisher in the RPI Invitational,
running the 8K in 27:53 to finish 94th out of 261 competitors.
MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Justine Campbell, Castleton State
College
(Sr., - Queensbury, NY)
Campbell was Castleton's top runner at the RPI Invitational,
finishing in 92nd place out of 223 competitors with a time of
20:35.
