NAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Billy Noyes, Johnson State College
(So., Attack - Boston, Mass.)
Billy Noyes scored five goals and recorded an assist in JSC's 11-10 double overtime win at Maine Maritime in the Badgers only contest of the week. Noyes added seven groundballs in victory giving JSC their first 2-0 start in program history.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

Christopher Keiley, Maine Maritime Academy
(Freshman, Attacker - Holliston, MA)
The freshman attacker continued his stellar play this week collecting 7 goals and 3 assist in MMA's 2-1 week. Keiley had 10 points this week to add to his team leading 18 points. Keiley had 3 goals in a 11-10 win over Thomas College and then had 4 goals and 2 assists in a 11-10 double overtime loss to Johnson State. Keiley finished off the weekend with an assist in MMA's 8-2 win over St. Joseph's College.

NAC Baseball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dan Conley, Castleton
(Fr., OF - Manchester, NH)
Conley provided the offensive punch for the Spartans over the weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. The freshman was 11-for-20 (.550) over four games including 6 triples and 2 doubles. Conley has also driven in 15 runs, while walking 5 times.

NAC Men's Tennis Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jeremy Henderson, Castleton State College
(Sr., #4 singles/#1 doubles - Lyndonville, VT)
Henderson led Castleton to a 2-1 week, earning a pair of singles wins and a pair of doubles wins with Jessee Maranda. Henderson earned a straight-set win over Johnson State 6-0, 6-4 on Saturday and came back with another straight-set win over Lyndon State 6-3, 6-2 on Sunday. In #1 doubles action Henderson won 9-7 versus Johnson State and 8-2 at Lyndon State.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Justin Garritt, Castleton State College
(Fr., #3 singles, #2 doubles - Liberty, NY)
Garritt was 2-1 in #3 singles action this week and 2-1 in #2 doubles teaming with Jamie Cook. Garritt battled back from being a set down versus Johnson State, winning 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 and won doubles 8-5. At Lyndon State Garritt cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 singles win and another 8-5 doubles win.

NAC Softball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tiffany Williams, Elms College
(So., C - Berlin, CT)
Williams batted .545 (6 for 11) with a double, three RBI and two runs scored in a 3-1 week for the Blazers. She also registered 21 putouts and a .958 fielding percentage in four starts behind the plate.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

 
Amanda Barker, Maine Maritime Academy
(Freshman, Pitcher - Waterville, ME)
The freshman pitcher was outstanding again picking up her third win in as many starts in 2008. Barker pitched seven innings against Wheelock striking out 15 batters and giving up only one hit. All three runs scored against her were unearned keeping her ERA at 0.00 in 17 innings pitched this season. Barker also went 1 for 4 from the plate in two games with three runs scored.
