NAC Baseball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

RJ Vassallie, Elms College
(Jr., P - Long Branch, NJ)
Vassallie threw a complete-game, three-hitter to help lead the Blazers to a 3-1 win over Maine-Farmington in the first game of a conference doubleheader last Saturday. He allowed no earned runs and just three singles in the seven-inning game.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Dan Conley, Castleton State College
(Fr., OF - Manchester, NH)
Conley batted .389 (7-for-18) with a homerun and triple in a 4-1 week for the Spartans. Conley had 12 RBI, scored six and stole three bases in three attempts. The freshman outfielder also had four assists, fielding his position flawlessly on the week.

NAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Michael Martinez, Castleton
(So., Attack - Barrington, IL)
Martinez led Castleton to a 2-1 week, including a conference win over Maine Maritime. Martinez scored nine goals over the three games. The sophomore attack also grabbed 12 ground balls on the week

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Josh Colello, Thomas
(Fr., D - Yamouth, ME)
Colello posted 10 saves leading Thomas to a conference victory over Johnson State 12-7.

NAC Men's Tennis Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jarryd Audette, Johnson State College
(Fr., #2 - Underhill, Vt.)
Jarryd Audette went 2-0 in both singles and doubles action on the week for Johnson State while helping the Badgers to a pair of non-conference wins over Lyndon State and Mitchell.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Corey Sherman, Becker College
(Fr, #1 Singles - Taunton, MA)
Sherman the number one singles player for the Hawks went 1-1 last week in singles and in doubles. In a 9-0 route of Newbury Sherman didn't drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win. Also in doubles he won 8-1 with teammate Chris Parker.

NAC Softball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Carolyn McAvoy, Husson College
(Sr., SS - Brewer, ME)
The Eagles went 4-0 this weekend in conference action. Senior shortstop Carolyn McAvoy hit .615 this weekend going 8 for 13 at the plate, with 2 doubles, 1 homerun, 5 runs scored, 5 RBI's and 1 BB. In the 3-1 win over Castleton, McAvoy had a 2 run homerun in the 3rd.

 

 

Alicia Burnett , Lesley University
(JR, P - Gulf Breeze, Fla.)
In three starts this past week, Burnett went 3-0. The junior pitched 15.0 innings and struck out 25 batters while only giving up nine hits and one run. The Lynx went 6-0 on the week thanks to Burnett's solid pitching performance and started off North Atlantic Conference play undefeated at 4-0.

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Mallery Stanley, Maine Maritime Academy
(Freshman, Second Base - Standish, ME)
Stanley had a great weekend at the plate going 12 for 15 in the four games she played. Along with her .800 batting average Stanley scored seven runs and collected three RBI's. Of her 12 hits she had two doubles and two triples to go along with her eight singles.
