PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Trishia Fellows, Castleton State
College
(Sr., Forward - Hartland, VT)
Fellows pushed Castleton to a 2-0 week, scoring two goals and
handing out two assists. In a thrilling, 4-3 overtime win over
Plymouth State, Fellows scored the game-tying goal, and the game
winner, her third game winner of the season. In a 5-1
non-conference win over Husson Fellows assisted on a pair of goals,
including what proved to be the game winner by Kayla Blank.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Hannah Cebry, Lasell College
(Fr, F - Burlington, CT)
Cebry produced 2 goals in a 2-1 week for the Lasers, including the
Lasers only goal against Wheaton College. Cebry's first goal was
against Wheelock College in a 7-3 victory.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kevin Byrne, Husson University
(SO - Winslow, ME)
The Eagles won the Bowdoin Invitational besting the 14 team field
by 15 stokes. Bryne finished 2nd with a two day total of 149
(76-73) pacing Husson to a team total of 599.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Mike Hersey, Husson University
(FY - Presque Isle, ME)
Hersy finished 7th at the Bowdoin Invitational with at two day
total of 152 (78-74).

NAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Darren Roberge, Lyndon State
College
(Junior, Striker - Sheldon, VT)
Scored two goals in 4-1 win over Southern Maine CC on Saturday,
Sept. 13 and tallied game-winning goal in 2-1 OT win over Mitchell
on Sunday, Sept. 14. Currently had six goals on the season to lead
LSC (3-2).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Demars, Johnson State College
(Fr., Forward - Morrisville, Vt.)
Demars led Johnson State to a 3-1 week by scoring two goals and
assisting on three other Badger scores on the week. Demars had a
three-assist effort in a 6-0 win at Fisher College and a goal in a
3-2 win over Paul Smith's and a goal in a 3-0 win over St. Joseph
(Vt.).

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Chadburn, Castleton State
College
(So. (Rookie), Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn led the Spartans to a 3-0 week, scoring eights goals,
including all three game winners. In a mid-week, 2-1 win at
Fitchburg State, Chadburn scored both goals, handing the Falcons
their first home loss since 2005. Chadburn tallied four more goals
in a 7-0 home win over U. Maine-Machias, then took her act on the
road once more, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win at Colby-Sawyer.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Tracy Zisselsberger, Lyndon State
College
(Sophomore, Back - Bethel, VT)
Zisselsberger two assists in 6-3 win over Southern Maine CC on
Saturday and scored one goal in 3-1 victory over Mitchell College
on Sunday.

NAC Women's Tennis Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Michelle Podnecky, Castleton State
College
(Fr., #1 Singles/#1 Doubles - Bridgewater, VT)
Podnecky led the Spartans to a 2-0 week, winning both of her #1
singles and both #1 doubles matches. The freshman dropped just six
total games in the two wins, defeating her opponent from
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 6-1, 6-0 and her opponent
from Lyndon State 6-1, 6-4. In doubles Podnecky teamed with
classmate, Kate Bucci, for a pair of wins (8-3 & 8-2).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kate Bucci, Castleton State College
(Fr., #3 singles, #1 doubles - Wakefield, RI)
Bucci was once again dominant from #3 singles, earning wins of
6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-3 over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts
and Lyndon State. The freshman has compiled a 5-0 record thus far.
In doubles Bucci teamed with classmate, Michelle Podnecky for wins
of 8-3 and 8-2 respectively in #1 doubles.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Amy Young, Maine Maritime Academy
(Junior, Middle Hitter - Cumberland, ME)
Amy had an outstanding week for the Lady Mariners against stiff
competition. In her three matches against Bates, Simmons and
Lesley, she collected 29 kills, 7 assists, had 4 aces, 17 digs, and
5 blocks.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kayla Brobst, Lyndon State College
(Freshman, Hitter - Merrimack, NH)
Brobst had 2 kills, 7 aces and 17 digs in 3-0 win over Southern
Vermont College followed by 7 kills, 7 aces and 16 digs in 3-1 loss
to UMaine-Machias later that day.

MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Tim Millett, Me.-Farmington
(SO, - Gorham, ME)
Millett opened the season for the Beavers with a 12th-place finish
at the University of New England Invitational. Millett ran the
8,000-meter race in 29:49.
MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Cam Betts, Me.-Farmington
(FR, - Gray, ME)
Betts had a solid debut for the Beavers at the University of New
England Invitational. Right on the heels of teammate Tim Millett
(12th, 29:49), Betts finished 13th at 29:50 for Farmington.
WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Maggie Klein, Castleton State
College
(Jr., - Castleton, VT)
Klein finished 10th out of 179 entries at the Smith Invitational
to lead Castleton to a 9th place finish out of 17 teams. The junior
ran the 5,000 meters in 20:58 for her second-straight top-10 finish
to start the season.
WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Melani St. Pierre, Me.-Farmington
(FR, - Charlestown, NH)
St. Pierre had a standout debut for the Beavers with a sixth-place
finish at the University of New England Invitational. St. Pierre
toured the 5,000-meter course in 21:42 to lead Farmington.
