Deans led the Beavers to a 3-0 week, including a pair of NAC wins.
Deans notched a hat trick in an 8-0 win over Thomas and scored the
game-winner in a 1-0 victory vs. Lasell.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Christine Thornton, Lasell College
(Fr, GK - Canton, MA)
Thornton had 29 save in three games this week, going 2-1 overall.
She had 16 saves against UMaine Farmington, and 11 saves against
Thomas College to finish the week 1-1 in the NAC.

Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

The Eagles won the John Queenan Memorial by 10 strokes with a team
score of 299. Hersey tied for medalist honors with teammate Chris
Hamel both shooting +2 74.

NAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nate Tipton, Maine Maritime
Academy
(Freshman, Striker - West Chester, PA)
The freshman striker was instrumental in helping MMA to a 2-1 week
scoring all three of the Mariners goals this week. Tipton scored
both of MMA's goals in their 2-1 defeat of UMPI including the game
winner four minutes into overtime. The Mariners split two
conference games in Vermont and in a 1-0 conference win against
Lyndon State, Tipton scored the only goal of the game early in the
second half.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
James Tollefson, Me.-Farmington
(FR, F - Middletown, RI)
Tollefson scored four goals in the Beavers' 1-2 week. The freshman
forward tallied two goals in a 3-0 NAC win over Green Mountain
College and scored a pair to lead a comeback in a 3-2 NAC loss to
Castleton State College.

NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Chadburn, Castleton State
College
(So., Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn led the Spartans to a pair of NAC wins over Thomas and
Maine-Farmington. The sophomore striker scored three goals,
including the game-winner, and added one assist in Saturday's 7-0
win over Thomas. Chadburn then scored the lone goal in Castleton's
1-0 win over Farmington on Sunday.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Taylor Riso, Green Mountain
College
(Freshmen, F - Portland, OR)
Taylor Riso scored 4 goals in leading Green Mountain to a 2-1
week. She scored one goal in a non-conference victory vs Regis
College, she produced 2 goals and played 90 minutes in a 3-2 loss
to Maine-Farmington, and scored one goal while playing 35 minutes
in a victory over Thomas College. Riso has now scored 6 goals in
only 3 NAC contests, and helped GMC to a 2-1 record in NAC play.

NAC Women's Tennis Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ziressa Hibbard, Johnson State
College
(So., #4 Singles/#2 Doubles - Georgia, Vt.)
Ziressa Hibbard won at the #4 singles flight 6-0, 6-0 over her
Lyndon State opponent and teamed with Nicole Hamilton at #2 doubles
to earn another victory 8-2 to help the Badgers to their first win
5-4 over the Hornets.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kate Bucci, Castleton State
College
(Fr., #3 singles, #1 doubles - Wakefield, RI)
Bucci helped Castleton to a 7-2 win over Plymouth State in the
Spartans' only match of the week. The freshman won in #3 singles
6-1, 6-0 and teamed with classmate, Michelle Podnecky for a 9-7 win
in #1 doubles.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Allison Chepke, Husson University
(So, OH - North Jackson, OH)
The Eagles were 2-1 this week with wins over UMF and UMPI. Chepke
had 27 kills, 25 digs, and 9 aces on the week. She hit a combined
.409 in the two wins over the weekend. The Eagles lost to NCAA I U.
Maine Orono.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Shannon Mitchell, Me.-Farmington
(FR, RS - Portsmouth, NH)
Mitchell helped the Beavers in a 1-2 week. Mitchell collected 27
kills and 35 digs on the week, including a 12-kill, 13-dig effort
in a 3-2 loss to St. Joseph's.

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Lyndsay Calkins, Lyndon State
(Sr, - Danville, Vt)
Senior Lyndsay Calkins won the Southern Vermont College
Mountaineers Invitational in a time of 20:46 over the challenging
5K course. Calkins was 2 minutes and 44 seconds faster the second
place finisher!
WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Allynne O'Hearn, Lyndon State
(Fr, - Pelham, NH)
Freshman Allynne O'Hearn (Pelham, NH) placed fifth at the Southern
Vermont College Mountaineers Invitational in a time of 23:55.
O'Hearn was Lyndon State number two runner on the day over the
challenging 5K course.
MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Nicholas Grasso, Castleton State
College
(Jr., - Schenectady, NY)
Grasso placed 68th out of 155 competitors in the Cod Fish Bowl at
Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts. Grasso finished the 8,000
meter race in 28:42, his fastest time this season.
MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Craig Johnson, Lyndon State
(Fr, - North Kingston, RI)
Freshman Craig Johnson placed eighth overall and was the top
Lyndon State finisher at the Southern Vermont College Mountaineers
Invitational. Johnson covered the challenging 8K course in a time
of 31:02.
