NAC Baseball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Matt Eisenhuth, Castleton
(Jr., LF - South Newfane, VT)
Eisenhuth led the Spartans to a 4-2 week, including a four-game
sweep of NAC foe, Lyndon State. The junior left fielder posted a
.571 batting average, going 12-for-21 with three homeruns and two
doubles. Eisenhuth knocked in 10 runs and scored nine more and
stole one base. He posted a slugging percentage of 1.095 and an on
base percentage of .609.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Craig Pendleton, Me.-Farmington
(SR, P - Saco, ME)
Pendleton led the Beavers to their first win of the season with a
4-3 victory over St. Joseph's. The senior scattered seven hits,
while not walking a batter and striking out nine over a
seven-inning complete game. Pendleton, who also threw an inning of
relief vs. Colby, finished the week with a 2.25 earned-run average.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
David Raczka, Castleton
(Fr., OF/DH - Higganum, CT)
In six starts at the lead-off spot, Raczka kept the table set all
week, going 13-for-23 (.565 ba) with four doubles and three walks.
The freshman drove in 11 runs and scored 10, posting a slugging
percentage of .739 and an on base percentage of .603

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Matthew Savage, Mount Ida College
(So., A - Peabody, Massachusetts)
Sophomore attackman Matthew Savage guided his team to a 2-0 week
with eight goals in two games. Savage notched three scores against
a very tough non-conference Babson College in a last second 8-7
victory for the Mustangs. He tallied five scores in an 18-4 romping
of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) foe Maine Maritime Academy.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jonathan Horgan, Saint Joseph's
College
(Freshman, Midfield - Hingham, MA)
In the Monks' only contest of the week, Horgan tallied a program
record totals of seven goals and nine points in a 16-5 victory over
Lyndon State College.

NAC Men's Tennis Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Justin Garritt, Castleton
(Jr., - Liberty, NY)
Garritt led helped Castleton to yet another perfect week, with
wins over Norwich and NAC foe, Green Mountain. The junior was a
perfect 2-0 in #4 singles and teamed with Ted Panasci for a pair of
#2 doubles wins as well.

NAC Softball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hilary Bemis, Castleton
(Jr., 3B/P - Crown Point, NY)
Castleton won three of four NAC games this weekend, and were
spurred by Bemis at the plate and in the pitching circle. The
junior posted a .643 batting average, going 9-for-14 with an
otherworldly 1.500 slugging percentage. Bemis smacked four
homeruns, including two in one inning versus Johnson State. She
drove in 13 runs and scored six to lead the offense. Bemis also
recorded a pair of wins as a pitcher, posting a five-inning
no-hitter versus Lyndon State on Saturday. The junior right hander
struck out 13 and allowed just three hits in her 10 innings of
work.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Nicole Sargent , Husson University
(SO, P - Sullivan, ME)
The Eagles were 6-0 this week featuring two NAC sweeps over Thomas
and U. Maine Farmington. Sargent was 2-0 this week pitching 12
innings allowing only 1 earned run and striking out 8. Sargent also
got it done at the plate with a walk off home run in the 8-7 win
over Thomas College.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Brittany Lumsden, Johnson State
College
(Fr., C/CF - Hardwick, Vt.)
Brittany Lumsden hit .462 (6-for-13) in a 2-2 week for Johnson
State. Lumsden scored four times and added an RBI and stealing
three bases. Lumsden's week was highlighted by a 4-for-4, three
runs scored performance in a 6-5 loss to Green Mountain.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Meg Denby, Thomas College
(Sophomore, Mid - Copiague, New York)
Meg Denby lead Thomas offensively last week- She scored 3 goals in
their loss to Becker college and she scored 5 goals to lead Thomas
to their first win of the season over Elms College 8-7.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Shelby Bradford, Husson University
(JR, A - Lee, ME)
Bradford, playing her first season of collegiate lacrosse, lead
the Eagles with 13 goals, 1 assist, and 23 groundballs. Bradford
registered 6 goals, 1 assist, and 13 groundballs in the 17-2 win
over Elms.
