NAC Baseball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Billy Manley, Castleton
(Jr., 3B - Lowell, MA)
Manley led Castleton to a 7-1 week, including a four-game sweep of
NAC foe, Thomas. The junior third-baseman batted .500 (15-for-30)
with six doubles and three homeruns, collecting 30 total bases for
an impressive 1.000 slugging percentage. Manley scored 12 runs and
drove in another dozen and was a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen base
attempts.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Ken Cook, Castleton
(Jr., P - Springfield, VT)
Cook was nearly unhittable in nine innings of work this past week.
In a mid-week relief appearance, he tossed a perfect two innings,
striking out four. In Saturday's start versus Thomas the junior
right-hander picked up the complete-game win, allowing four hits
and just one unearned run. He struck out 12 and did not walk a
batter.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Zach Maerder, Lyndon State College
(Freshman, Centerfield - Woodsville, NH)
Maerder came into his own this week batting a sizzling .466 over
the past nine games. In addition to his hitting exploits, he
knocked in six run in the period to reach double-digits for the
year. On the season, Maerder is hitting .302 with 26 hits, two
double. one triple and 10 RBIs for the 4-22-1 Hornets.

NAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

Co-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Chris Mansour, Lyndon State
College
(Junior, Attack - Mansfield, Mass.)
Mansour scored 11 goals in the week Lyndon State, who upped its
record to 3-8 on the season. Mansour netted seven goals in a 13-11
conference win over Green Mountain on Saturday.
Josh Anderson, Emerson College
(2011, Attack - Underhill Center, Vt.)
Josh played in only one game during the week due to illness, but
scored a school single game record 14 points on nine goals and five
assists in Emerson's non-conference victory over Mitchell College.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Justin Connolly, Johnson State
College
(Fr., Midfield - Jeffersonville, Vt.)
Justin Connolly helped Johnson State to a 2-0 week, both NAC wins,
by recording three goals and an assist while picking up seven
groundballs. Connolly had two goals and an assist in JSC's 15-7 win
at home vs. Green Mountain and then tallied a goal in a 15-6 win at
St. Joseph's of Maine.

NAC Men's Tennis Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
C.J. Sullivan , Castleton
(Sr., - Rutland, VT)
Sullivan was a perfect 6-0 in combined singles and doubles matches
this week, as Castleton improved to 11-0 on the season. Sullivan
picked up a pair of singles victories playing as #1 versus Sage and
Lyndon State, and earned a #2 singles victory over Thomas. Sullivan
teamed with Jessee Maranda for a #1 doubles win over Lyndon State
and a #2 doubles win over Sage, before ending the week with a #1
doubles win with Robbie Gray.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Joy, Johnson State College
(Fr., 1 - North Montpelier, Vt.)
Ryan Joy had a 2-0 week in singles play and 1-1 in doubles action
in a 1-2 week for Johnson State. Joy's week was highlighted by
helping the Badgers to their first team win of the season by
winning his singles match 6-2, 6-4 over his GMC opponent and then
teaming with Kyle Young for an 8-2 double win.

NAC Softball Weekly Honors

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Caitlyn LeBorgne, Husson
University
(SO, P - Scarborough, ME)
The Eagles were 6-0 this week including 4-0 in NAC Play. LeBorgne
was 2-0, pitching 10 inning without allowing a run. She struckout
13 and only allowed 3 hits while not given up a walk. LeBorgne also
helped out at the plate going 4-10 (.400) with a 2B, 3B, and HR.
She scored 4 runs and drove in 4 RBIs. Husson has now won 12
straight.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cassie Berry, Husson University
(JR, INF - Newcastle, ME)
The Eagles were 6-0 this week including 4-0 in NAC play. Berry
paced the Eagles going 10-19 (.526)with 2 2B and 2 HRs. She scored
8 runs, drove in 7 RBIs, and had 4 stolen bases. Husson has now won
12 straight.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Samantha Morency, Me.-Farmington
(FR, SS - Lewiston, ME)
Morency batted .500 (5-10) with two doubles and a pair of RBI in a
loss to Colby and a doubleheader sweep of Johnson State. The
freshman also played error-free defense in the three games.

NAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marie VanDerKar, Castleton
(So., Midfield - Manchester, VT)
VanDerKar led the Spartans to a 2-0 week, including a NAC win over
Husson on Sunday that solidified their place in the NAC Final. The
sophomore midfielder scored 10 goals and had one assist, while
grabbing 10 ground balls, nine draw controls and causing four
turnovers.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Amie Daniels, Me.-Farmington
(FR, M - Lewiston, ME)
Daniels led the Beavers to a 3-0 week with 11 goals and an assist.
The freshman, who scored four of her goals on free-position shots,
was on point all week with 18 of her 21 shot attempts on goal. She
also had 12 ground balls and a team-high seven draw controls.
