UMF's Morrison Earns Capital One Academic All-District
FARMINGTON, Maine - University of Maine at Farmington senior midfielder Emma Morrison (Saco, Maine) was named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District 1 NCAA Division III At-Large First Team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America this afternoon.

Castleton's Erickson and Zielinski Earn All-New England Spots
CASTLETON, Vt. – Senior pitcher Tyler Erickson (Naugatuck, Conn.) and junior second baseman Ryan Zielinski (Schenectady, N.Y.) both earned spots on the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-New England squads earlier this week.

Player of the Year DiSalvo Tabbed for North/South Game
CASTINE, Maine – Andrew DiSalvo (Glastonbury, Conn.) will represent Maine Maritime Academy at the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s (USILA) North/South All-Star Game. DiSavlo will play for the North quad under the direction of Dave Campbell, who wrapped up his sixth season at Middlebury College.

Castleton Set to Travel to Farmingdale St. for NCAA Baseball Regional
CASTLETON, Vt.- Castleton State College will be the sixth seed in the upcoming NCAA Division III Baseball Regional hosted by Farmingdale State College in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Spartans will take on top-seeded SUNY Cortland on Wednesday at 10 am in the opener of the six-team, double-elimination tournament. Other first-round match-ups on Wednesday include (2) Farmingdale St. vs. (5) Skidmore and (3) Ithaca vs. (4) Misericordia. The tournament will run Wednesday -through-Friday with a pair of games on Saturday if necessary.

Colby-Sawyer Receives ECAC New England Women's Lacrosse Bid
NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team has earned the fifth seed in the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Chargers will travel to fourth seed Framingham on Wednesday, for a 4:00pm contest.

Castleton Set to Face TCNJ in NCAA Women's Tennis First Round
CASTLETON, Vt.- The Castleton State College women’s tennis team will travel to Amherst College Friday to take on The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in the first round of the the NCAA Division III National Tournament at a time yet to be determined.

Husson Earns Sixth Seed in NCAA North East Softball Regional
BANGOR, Maine - The NCAA Division III Softball Committee has announced the 61 teams that will compete in the 2012 Division III Softball Championship, and Husson University was tabbed with a #6 seed in the North East division where they will play #3 seeded host Amherst College.
