Baseball Falls At Clark, 14-1

WORCESTER, MA, April 3, 2007 - Elms College freshman first baseman Matt Josefs (Newington, CT) and freshman center fielder Mike Scott (Clinton, CT) each went 1 for 3, but Clark University plated 10 runs over the first three innings en route to a 14-1 win over the Blazers in Tuesday afternoon's non-conference baseball game at Granger Field.

With the loss, Elms College fell to 3-9-1 overall. Clark improved to 8-10 overall.

Four Elms College errors resulted in seven unearned runs for Clark, which plated two runs in the first inning, six in the second and four more in the third.

Freshman pitcher James Kosiorek (Springfield, MA) was solid, as he allowed four earned runs in five innings of relief, and freshman pitcher Pat Moreau (South Hadley, MA) threw a perfect eighth inning for the Blazers in the loss.

Elms College returns to non-conference play on Friday, April 6 at Springfield College. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
