Senior centerfield Mike Chamard of Thomas College was honored as the North Atlantic Conference Baseball Player of the Year in a vote by the conference coaches. Chamard led the league in batting average (.388), slugging percentage (.600) while ranking among the league leaders in runs scored, hits and total bases as Thomas finished 6-4 in conference play.

Castleton freshman third baseman Dan Conley earned Rookie of the Year accolades. Conley was among the conference leaders in nearly every offensive category including batting average (.378), slugging percentage (.544), on base percentage (.473) while leading the league in hits and runs batted in. The Spartans enter this weekend’s NAC Championship as the number one seed.

Castleton head coach Ted Shipley was selected as NAC Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. Shipley led this year’s squad to a 9-1 league mark and the top seed in the upcoming NAC Tournament.

Thomas College was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award. NAC all-conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches. Additional players honored are due to ties in the voting.
