NAC Field Hockey Semifinals Set for Wednesday
Top seed St. Joseph’s College of Maine will meet fourth seed Castleton in the semifinal round of the North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Championship on Wednesday, November 3. Second seed Husson will face third seed University of Maine at Farmington
Third-seeded University of Maine at Farmington notched a 6-1 win over No. 6 Simmons College in first-round action Saturday at Prescott Field. Hattie Laliberte led Farmington with two goals and an assist, while Annie Agnew assisted on three goals and Lily Barry chipped in two goals. Emma Deans with a goal and an assist and Kaitlyn Bullen with a goal completed the scoring for the winners.
Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, November 6 at the highest remaining seed. Game times and dates are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.

NAC Field Hockey Championship Seeding Announced
St. Joseph’s College of Maine has secured the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Championship. The Monks (12-4 overall, 7-0 NAC) earned a first round bye and will host a semifinal contest on Wednesday, November 3.
The University of Maine at Farmington (11-5 overall, 5-2 NAC) earned the third seed and will host Simmons (5-10 overall, 2-5 NAC) in a first round contest on Saturday, October 30. The Beavers edged the Terriers 2-1 in overtime when the teams met in Boston on October 3.
The winner of the Farmington/Simmons contest will meet defending champion Husson (8-5 overall, 6-1 NAC) in semifinal action on Wednesday, November 3. The Eagles earned the second seed and first round bye.
Fourth seed Castleton (10-6 overall, 4-3 NAC) will host fifth seed Thomas (5-10 overall, 3-4 NAC) in first round action on Saturday. The higher seeded Spartans turned back the Terriers 4-1 in conference action on October 16. The winner will travel to St. Joseph’s for a semifinal matchup.
The top six teams qualify for the NAC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
First round games will be played on Saturday, October 30 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at the higher seed on Wednesday, November 3. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, November 6 at the highest remaining seed. Game times and dates are subject to change.
