NAC Field Hockey All-Conference Teams Announced
Husson senior forward KaroleAnne Emery was selected North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Player of the Year in a vote by the conference coaches. Emery, a three-time all-conference honoree, led the conference with 10 goals during league play. Simmons freshman forward Kristin Perkins was chosen as the conference Rookie of the Year. Perkins led all first year players with five goals during seven conference games this season.
Maine-Farmington head coach Cindy Pratt and Lasell’s Jessica King shared NAC Coach of the Year accolades. Pratt led her Beavers to a perfect conference mark and are hosting the NAC championship game Saturday. King’s Lasers were 4-4 and knocked off Castleton State in the first round of the tournament before falling to UMF in the semifinals.
Wheelock College was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award. NAC all-conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches. Additional players honored are due to ties in the voting.
