Husson University Chosen as Front-Runner for NAC Mens Basketball Title

Husson University was selected as the men's basketball preseason favorite of the North Atlantic Conference in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. The Eagles were a unanimous choice for the top spot receiving all eight first place votes and a total of 64 points in the NAC men's basketball preseason poll. Husson returns six players including the all-conference senior tandem of Brock Bradford and Matt MacKenzie from a squad which went 11-3 in conference play and won their first NAC Championship. Bradford averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 assists and 4.0 rebounds from his guard spot while MacKenzie posted 18.7 points per contest along with 5.8 rebounds while shooting 59.5% from the field.
Thomas College, which finished second with 55 points, will be led by 2009 NAC Player of the Year Andrew Duncanson, who averaged a conference best 21.6 points in conference games last year as the point guard for the Terriers. Third choice the University of Maine at Farmington retunrs four starters led by senior center Josh Tanguay.
