Craig Salvagno, Lyndon State
College
(Senior, Attack - Trumbull, Conn.)
Salvagno opened the 2009 season with seven goals and one assist as
Lyndon State topped Mitchell College on Saturday, March 14 by a
narrow margin of 12-11. Salvagno connected on half of his 14 shots
in the game and accounted for 10 of Lyndon's 20 shots-on-goal in
the contest.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Billy Gerke, Mount Ida College
(Fr, Midfield - Essex, Vermont)
Freshman midfielder Billy Gerke (Essex, VT/Rice Memorial) notched
his first goal as a Mustang against Curry College in a 13-12 double
overtime victory. Gerke has gotten a significant amount of playing
time in his first season at Mount Ida and has contributed
immensely.
