EAST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Justin Garritt, Castleton
(Jr., - Liberty, NY)
Garritt led Castleton to the NAC Eastern Division Championship
this past Saturday, earning a pair of wins in second singles to
earn Tournament Most Valuable Player honors. Garritt also posted a
pair of regular season wins over Lyndon State and The Sage Colleges
earlier in the week, and was a perfect 4-0 in doubles action with
partner Eric Slosek.
EAST DIVISION ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kevin Eisenberg, Castleton
(Fr., - Moultonborough, NH)
Eisenberg earned All-Tournament honors this weekend as Castleton
earned the NAC Eastern Division Championship, with the freshman
posting two wins in third singles and two more in third doubles
with Corey Kimball. Eisenberg also cruised to regular season wins
over Lyndon State and Sage earlier in the week. The freshman has
stretched his winning-streak to 14-straight singles matches.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
C.J. Sullivan , Castleton
(Sr., - Rutland, VT)
Sullivan earned NAC Tournament MVP honors with a 2-0 record
playing #1 singles as Castleton won the NAC men's tennis team
championship defeating Johnson St. 8-1 and Thomas 7-2. On the week,
the senior was a combined 5-1 in singles and doubles competition.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
C.J. Sullivan , Castleton

Sullivan was a perfect 6-0 in combined singles and doubles matches
this week, as Castleton improved to 11-0 on the season. Sullivan
picked up a pair of singles victories playing as #1 versus Sage and
Lyndon State, and earned a #2 singles victory over Thomas. Sullivan
teamed with Jessee Maranda for a #1 doubles win over Lyndon State
and a #2 doubles win over Sage, before ending the week with a #1
doubles win with Robbie Gray.

Ryan Joy, Johnson State College
(Fr., 1 - North Montpelier, Vt.)
Ryan Joy had a 2-0 week in singles play and 1-1 in doubles action
in a 1-2 week for Johnson State. Joy's week was highlighted by
helping the Badgers to their first team win of the season by
winning his singles match 6-2, 6-4 over his GMC opponent and then
teaming with Kyle Young for an 8-2 double win.

wins over Norwich and NAC foe, Green Mountain. The junior was a
perfect 2-0 in #4 singles and teamed with Ted Panasci for a pair of
#2 doubles wins as well.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brad Darby, Lyndon State College
(Junior, No. 2 Singles, No. 1 Doubles - Sanford, Maine)
Darby turned in a dominating performance in the past week in No. 2
singles Position. On Thursday, April 2, he defeated Johnson State's
Ben Algar 6-1, 6-0 and two days later, on Saturday, April 4, he
blanked Thomas' Dave Campbell 6-0, 6-0. Darby also won a pair of
doubles matches in the week, teaming with Chris Hammett in an 8-4
win over Johnson's Ryan Joy and Kyle Young before recording an 8-4
victory over Campbell and Corey Daige on Saturday.

Ryan Joy, Johnson State College
(Fr., 1 - North Montpelier, Vt.)
Ryan Joy had a 2-1 week at #1 singles while going 1-2 in double
action in a 0-3 week for Johnson State. The freshman won his first
college singles match over his LSC opponent on Thursday 6-2, 6-2
and then beat his opponent from Lesley 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) on Saturday.

Sullivan was perfect in leading Castleton to a 3-0 week. The
senior, playing in his first collegiate season, picked up wins in
#2 singles over Sage College and Green Mountain during the week. He
then took home his first #1 singles win at Thomas in NAC play,
winning 6-1, 7-5. He also picked up three wins in #1 doubles
teaming with Robbie Gray versus Sage and Green Mountain, and Jessee
Maranda at Thomas.

Garritt helped Castleton to a pair of wins this week over in-state
foes Norwich and Johnson State. In Castleton's 5-4 win over
Norwich, Garritt won a four hour marathon in #4 singles 6-3, 6-4
and also teamed with Ted Panasci to win #2 doubles 9-7. In
Saturday's match with Johnson State Garritt cruised to a 6-1, 6-0
#3 singles win and once again teamed with Panasci for an 8-0
victory in #2 doubles.

Sullivan was dominant in his first collegiate tennis match,
earning a straight-set win in #2 singles 6-0, 6-3. Sullivan also
teamed with Jessee Maranda for an 8-0 shut-out in #3 doubles.
