Colby-Sawyer's Foster, Nyholm & Robinson Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honorees for the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season and three North Atlantic Conference (NAC) student-athletes earned All-Region accolades.
The Colby-Sawyer men's track and field team saw senior Rasheed Foster (Sandy Bay, Hanover, Jamaica) and junior Karl Nyholm (Concord, Mass.) claim all-region honors, while the Charger women were represented by junior Emmani Robinson ( Newburgh, N.Y.).
To be named all-region, a student-athlete must either be ranked in the top five of an individual event in the region according to the final TFRRS data or be part of a top three relay team. A total of 935 men and 945 women nabbed All-Region honors for their efforts during an incredible outdoor track & field season that was highly competitive and entertaining.
Foster garnered a pair of All-Region accolades for performances in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, while Robinson and Nyholm collected All-Region honors in the shot put.
Foster will be competing at the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship this weekend, May 25-27, in Geneva, Ohio, in the 100m dash.
