Women's Basketball Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Caitlyn Laflin, Me.-Farmington
(SR, F - Farmingdale, ME)
Laflin averaged 19 points and 20 rebounds per game in an 0-2 week
for the Beavers. The senior made 51.9 percent (14-27) of her shots
from the field and collect five assists, seven blocks and five
steals.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Donna Lawson, Lyndon State College
(Freshman, Forward - Irasburg, Vt.)
Donna Lawson averaged 21.5 points and 13 rebounds in two
conference losses. On Tuesday, Lawson scored 26 points, grabbed 13
rebounds and blocked one shot in a 68-55 loss to Green Mountain
College. A few days later, on Saturday she tallied 17 points,
pulled down 13 rebounds and collected two steals in the Hornets
75-56 loss to Castleton.
