NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Shelby Bradford, Husson University
(Jr., Forward - Lee, Maine)
Bradford scored both goals as Husson captured the NAC women's soccer title 2-0 over Maine-Farmington. Bradford added a goal and an assist in a semifinal victory over Green Mountain giving her three goals and an assist for the tournament.

NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Amber Murphy, Me.-Farmington
(JR, F - Manchester, NH)
Murphy led the Beavers to a pair of postseason victories as the junior netted the overtime game-winner in a 1-0 semifinal win at Castleton and scored a goal and set up the game-winner in a 3-2 overtime victory vs. Lyndon State in the opening round.

 

 

 

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Mckell Barnes, Me.-Farmington
(SO, GK - Durham, ME)
After missing the first-round game, Barnes weathered 22 shots with four saves in a 1-0 overtime win in the semifinals at Castleton.

NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Monique Couture, Green Mountain College
(Senior, Midfielder - Santa Barbara, CA)
Couture scored the game winning goal and added an insurance goal, giving her two goals in Green Mountain's 3-2 victory over Lyndon State. The win helped GMC secure the #4 seed and a home playoff game in the NAC quarterfinals.

 

 

 

 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Courtney Chadburn, Castleton State College
(So. (Rookie), Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn led the Spartans to a 2-0 week with three goals and two assists. In a 2-1 win at SUNY-Cobleskill, Chadburn had an assist and scored the game winner in the 70th minute of play. Saturday Chadburn scored two goals, including the game winner and added an assist as Castleton defeated Johnson State in its regular season finale.

NAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Megan LaJoie, Husson University
(SO, D/F - Van Buren, ME)
The Eagles were 1-0 in NAC play this week along with two tough 1 goal losses to Bates and Bowdoin. LaJoie tied a school record with 5 goals in a 8-0 win over MMA. She played the first 20 minutes of the game on defense before she exploded for 5 straight goals.

 

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Maria Arnot, Castleton State College
(Fr., Forward - Milford, NY)
Arnot helped Castleton to a 1-1 record this week, scoring three goals. In a mid-week loss to Plymouth State, Arnot tied the game at 2-2 in the second half, before Castleton fell 3-2. Arnot then scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 North Atlantic Conference win at Green Mountain.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Amber Murphy, Me.-Farmington
(JR, F - Manchester, NH)
Murphy led the Beavers to a 3-0 week, including an overtime game-winner in a 1-0 win over NAC foe Lyndon State and a goal and two assists in an 8-0 rout against NAC foe Johnson State. Murphy also collected a goal in the Beavers' 4-0 win over Becker.

 

 

 

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Katelyn Cloutier, Husson University
(Fy, D - Groveton, NH)
The Eagles were 3-0 this week and remained undefeated in NAC play. Cloutier was outstanding at the defense end of the field in the two conference wins this week. She helped Husson shutout Castleton in the Eagles 1-0 win. Cloutier recorded two goals in a non conference win over U. Maine Machias.

(SR, M - Homer, NY)
Jeffers led Green Mountain to a 1-0 week tallying a goal and assist in GMC's 5-0 victory against Word of Life.

Karen Davidson, Green Mountain College
(FR, GK - Seymour, CT)
Davidson posted her 4th shutout of the season, saving all seven shots on goal in the Eagles win against Word of Life.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Courtney Chadburn, Castleton State College
(So., Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn led the Spartans to a pair of NAC wins over Thomas and Maine-Farmington. The sophomore striker scored three goals, including the game-winner, and added one assist in Saturday's 7-0 win over Thomas. Chadburn then scored the lone goal in Castleton's 1-0 win over Farmington on Sunday.

 

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Taylor Riso, Green Mountain College
(Freshmen, F - Portland, OR)
Taylor Riso scored 4 goals in leading Green Mountain to a 2-1 week. She scored one goal in a non-conference victory vs Regis College, she produced 2 goals and played 90 minutes in a 3-2 loss to Maine-Farmington, and scored one goal while playing 35 minutes in a victory over Thomas College. Riso has now scored 6 goals in only 3 NAC contests, and helped GMC to a 2-1 record in NAC play.

Taylor Riso, Green Mountain College
(Freshmen, Forward - Portland, OR)
Taylor Riso scored a hat trick in Green Mountain's 3-0 victory over Johnson State this Saturday in their only game of the week. Her 3 goals accounted for all of the scoring in the contest, and helped Green Mountain claim their first victory in NAC conference.

Courtney Chadburn, Castleton State College
(So., Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn continued to show her scoring prowess in her first collegiate season, scoring five goals in a 1-1 week for Castleton. In a 3-2 loss to MCLA, Chadburn tallied one goal that tied the score at the time. In her first career conference game, Chadburn scored four times, including the game winner, as Castleton defeated Lyndon State on homecoming weekend.

Courtney Chadburn, Castleton State College
(So. (Rookie), Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn led the Spartans to a 3-0 week, scoring eights goals, including all three game winners. In a mid-week, 2-1 win at Fitchburg State, Chadburn scored both goals, handing the Falcons their first home loss since 2005. Chadburn tallied four more goals in a 7-0 home win over U. Maine-Machias, then took her act on the road once more, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win at Colby-Sawyer.

Tracy Zisselsberger, Lyndon State College
(Sophomore, Back - Bethel, VT)
Zisselsberger two assists in 6-3 win over Southern Maine CC on Saturday and scored one goal in 3-1 victory over Mitchell College on Sunday.

The Eagles recorded a 6-0 win over Purchase College, NY in their only game this week. Homer scored 4 goals and one assist in the victory which pushed the Eagles to 3-0.

The Eagles opened the season with two wins over the weekend and Homer had 3 goals. Homer scored the game winning goal in 2-1 overtime win against Westfield State and added two goals in a 4-2 win over Quebec Trios Riveres.

The Eagles won their opening two games with a 2-1 overtime win over Westfield State and a 4-2 win over Quebec Trios Riveres. Cloutier playing in her first college games was solid on defense throughout the weekend.
