PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kylan Smith, Husson University
(Sr., M - Presque Isle, ME)
Kylan Smith was named the 2009 NAC Tournament MVP. Smith
controlled the flow of play in her role as an interior midfielder.
She was matched up against the opposing team's top players and
provided both offensive and defensive support to help Husson to the
NAC Championship victory over Castleton.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Megan Clement, Husson University
(Jr., F - Brunswick, ME)
Clement scored two of husson's three goals in their 3-0 NAC
Semifinal win over Maine Maritime. Clement scored the game's first
goal at point blank range off of a rebound in the box. Clement
collected her second goal of the day with a well placed strike from
thirty yards out.
Co-ROOKIES OF THE WEEK
Noelle Moulton, Me.-Farmington
(FR, M/F - York, ME)
Moulton notched a hat trick with the first three goals of her
collegiate career in a 4-1 NAC quarterfinal victory over Green
Mountain.
Sarah Ethier, Castleton
(Fr., Midfield - Portsmouth, RI)
Ethier provided Castleton with a huge spark off the bench in
Saturday's semifinal win over Farmington. The freshman midfielder
scored a pair of goals, and keyed the Spartan transition at
midfield.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Chadburn, Castleton
(Jr., Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn led Castleton to a 2-0 week, scoring five goals,
including both game winners, and dishing out one assist. Chadburn
tallied her third-straight hat-trick performance in a mid-week win
over Cobleskill State. Her hat-trick streak came to an end in a 5-0
win over Johnson State, as she scored two goals and had one assist.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Chadburn, Castleton
(Jr., Forward - North Clarendon, VT)
Chadburn led Castleton to a 1-0-1 week, earning a win over Green
Mountain and playing to a tie with Plymouth State. The junior
striker scored six goals, three in each contest, to increase her
season total to 16. Chadburn also provided an assist in Saturday's
win over Green Mountain as Castleton stretched its unbeaten streak
to nine games (8-0-1).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Leigh Ronald, Me.-Farmington
(FR, M/D - Farmington, ME)
Ronald had a hand in all three of Farmington's goals in a 3-0 NAC
win over Thomas Saturday. The freshman netted a pair of goals and
assisted on another score.

CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Katie Hoxsie, Castleton State
College
(Sr., Back - Middlebury, VT)
Hoxsie helped lead Castleton to a pair of shutout wins over Maine
Maritime and Husson. The senior marking back played a key roll in
both 1-0 shutouts on the defensive end of the field, shutting down
the leading scorer for both the Mariners and the Eagles. She also
got in the act on the offensive end, providing the lone goal in
Sunday's win over the previously NAC-unbeaten Eagles.
Julia Nyitray, Thomas College
(SR, Center Mid - Farmingdale, Me)
Nyitray had the tying and winning goals against Lyndon State
College on Saturday and the tying goal that sent the game to
overtime against Johnson State College this past weekend. The
senior center midfielder scored three of Thomas' four goals this
week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ally Bataille, Johnson State
College
(Fr, M/F - Waterbury, Vt.)
Ally Bataille recorded the game-winning goal in double overtime in
the Badgers 3-2 victory over visiting Thomas College on Sunday to
give JSC their first league win. Bataille's goal came with 1:09
left to play in the match.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Meg Clement, Husson University
(Jr, F - Brunswick, ME)
Junior forward Meg Clement scored the game winning goal in both of
Husson's wins against Bates and MMA. Clement scored Husson's only
goal in the Eagles' 1-0 victory over MMA and notched the first
tally in a 2-1 win over Bates.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Samantha Bergeron, Lyndon State
College
(Junior, Midfield - Milton, Vt.)
Bergeron scored one goal and collected an assist in Lyndon's 3-0
victory over arch-rival Johnson State Sunday. For the season,
Bergeron has two goals and seven assists for a total of 11 points
for the 7-3 Lady hornets.

Chadburn helped push Castleton to a 2-0 week, with a pair of 1-0
victories over Fitchburg State and Norwich. The junior striker
scored the game-winner in a mid-week win over the Falcons, and
followed it up with the game-winner in the 104th minute of play
Sunday versus the Cadets.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Callie Thompson, Maine Maritime
Academy
(Freshman, Midfield - Windsor, ME)
Thompson continued her scoring pace, collecting four goals in her
only match of the week. Thompson collected four goals in MMA's 5-0
victory over Unity College. The four goals tied a school record for
goals in a match.

Shauna Buck, Lyndon State College
(Senior, Forward - Newport Center, VT)
Buck had a stellar week, scoring four goals and earning one assist
as the Lady Hornets won two of three games. She had an assist in
Lyndon's 2-0 win over Vermont Tech on Wednesday before exploding
for four goals in LSC's 8-0 victory over Southern Maine Community
College on Saturday.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Callie Thompson, Maine Maritime
Academy
(Freshman, Midfield - Windsor, ME)
The freshman midfielder collected three goals in MMA's 2-1 week.
Thompson scored in every match this week including her first
collegiate goal in a 3-2 victory over UMaine Machias. Two of her
three goals were game winners for the Mariners.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ally Fortier, Johnson State
College
(Fr., M/F - Foster, R.I.)
Ally Fortier led JSC to a 2-0 opening weekend by tallying five
goals and two assists in the set of games. In a 4-2 home win over
SUNY-Cobleskill Fortier netted three goals including the
game-winner and scored two goals and assisted on a pair the next
day in a 7-0 win at Paul Smith's College.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Abby Fadden, Lyndon State College
(Freshman, Midfield - North Haverhill, N.H.)
Fadden, a freshman midfielder from North Haverhill, N.H., has
exploded on the collegiate soccer scene, collecting four goals in
her first week of competition. On Wednesday,Sept. 2, she tallied
one goal in the Lady Hornets 3-1 victory over Southern Vermont
College. Three days later, Fadden found the back of the net three
times as Lyndon handed Mitchell College a 4-1 setback. Thus far on
the young season, Fadden has four goals for a total of eight
points.
