NAC Women's Cross Country Weekly Honors
RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Alecia Palmer, Husson University

Alecia Palmer won her first collegiate race and set a personal course record by over 30 seconds at the UMF Invitational, running a 21:26 5K to lead the Eagles to the win.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kateri Jeffrey, Husson University
(FY, - South Portland, Maine)
Kateri Jeffery had her most impressive finish of the season coming in third at the UMF Invitational to help the Eagles to the team win. Jeffrey toured the 5,000 meter course in 22:11.
AROUND THE NAC
Castleton traveled to North Dartmouth, Massachusetts for the Umass-Dartmouth Invitational this week. Sophomore Mariah Eilers (Moretown, Vt.) was Castleton's top finisher on the day, placing 51st overall with her time of 19:50.3 in the 5K race.
Colby-Sawyer finished second at the University of Maine-Farmington race on Saturday. Emily Urquhart led the Chargers with a second place finish in 21:36. The team races at Johnson this weekend.
UMF finished third out of five teams at the UMF Invitational, with junior Rachel Huber pacing the Beavers with a 10th place finish in a time of 23:49. Sophomore Farren Welzel was 11th with a time of 23:59, while senior Salena Sykes was 12th in 24:11.
Green Mountain claimed the top spot at this weekend's Three Stallion Inn-Vitational at Vermont Tech. Five runners finished in the top ten, including Dakota VanTine and Peyton Jones who were first and second, respectively. The women will head to Southern Vermont College on Saturday to compete in their next meet.
Husson won the Maine-Farmington Invitational. The team finished with 24 points thanks to some standout individual performances. Alecia Palmer finished in first place overall with a 5K time of 21:26. Close behind her were Kateri Jeffrey in third place, Theresa Martin in fifth, Molly Frankinburger in sixth, and Mitra Haines in ninth.
Johnson ran to a sixth place team finish at the Aldrich Invitational on Saturday hosted by Middlebury College. Sophomore Jill Porter was the Badgers top finisher coming in 47th place overall in a time of 25:00.5.
Lyndon remained idle over the weekend. The Hornets will take part in the Johnson State Invitational on Saturday at a time that has yet to be determined.
Maine Maritime's Emily Fanning ran a 26:48 for 26th place in the field of 44 runners competing at Maine-Farmington's Mount Blue Invitational on Saturday. The Mariners finished in fifth place among the five North Atlantic Conference teams running in the event, won by Husson University. Maine Maritime will compete in the Unity College Invitational this weekend.
New England College finished 34th at the UMass-Dartmouth Shriners Open Saturday. Leading the way for the women was Rachel Orlando ran the 5K race in a personal best 20:06 good enough for 81st place.
Thomas participated in the University of Maine at Farmington meet Saturday. Rachel Reed led the Terriers with a 33rd finish (28:49).
