Player of the Week

Riley Robinson, Me.-Farmington

(Jr., F - Dixfield, Maine, 20)

Robinson averaged 21.3 points per game this week with 26 points against Suffolk, 14 against Babson, and 24 against UMaine-Machias. He shot 60.9 percent and hit 5-8 from behind the arc. Robinson notched a total of 22 rebounds, with nine against Machias and eight against Suffolk. He grabbed two steals in each game, totaling six on the week. Robinson also tallied seven assists with an average 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio and led the Beavers to a 2-1 start on the season.



Rookie of the Week 

DeMerrill Levy, Maine Maritime

(Fr., G - Houston, Texas, 01)

Levy was instrumental in the Mariners 2-1 week, shooting 41.5 percent from the floor and totaling 42 points (14 ppg), 15 rebounds (5.0 rpg), seven assists, two steals a block over the three games. In the Mariners' loss to Pine Manor, the freshman tallied 12 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block. In team's 75-73 win over Eastern Nazarene, Levy netted 20 points, four rebounds, and four assists. The guard helped lead the Mariners to their first victory over Bates College since 1999, tallying 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, and a steal.





Player of the Week

Kenzie Worcester, Husson

(Sr., G - Washburn, Maine, 15)

Draining a whopping 30 points against Western Connecticut on Friday night, Worcester led all scorers while shooting a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line, draining both three-point attempts, and passing off three assists. The senior shot an impressive 78.6 percent as she accumulated a third of her team's points on the board that night. Worcester followed up the next day with 12 points, five rebounds, seven assists and a steal in a win against Rivier. She recorded 42 points, five rebounds, ten assists, and two steals total over two games in the Brandeis Invitational.


Rookie of the Week 

Vanessa Duarte, Husson

(Fr., G - Hawthorne, N.Y., 34)

In just 37 minutes of action over two games, Duarte netted 13 points, picked up 12 boards, and passed out seven assists in the Brandeis Invitational this past weekend.  She collected eight rebounds, three points and four assists in fifteen minutes on the court in her first game for the Eagles. In her second game on Saturday, Duarte hit double digits with ten points, while also collecting four boards and a steal.
