Player of the Week

Amir Moss, UMaine-Farmington

(Junior, G - Portland, Maine)

Moss had a 67-point week, averaging 22.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.7 steals over three games. First, in a non-conference loss to a competitive Colby team, he tallied 26 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals. Over the weekend, Moss led the Beavers to two NAC wins at home, bringing their conference record to 4-0 early in the season. Against Northern Vermont-Johnson, he notched 21 points and added three rebounds and two assists, and followed up the next day with another 20-point game at Northern Vermont-Lyndon, where he also picked up three rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Moss was perfect (7-for-7) at the free throw line over the weekend, and leads the league in points per game.


Rookie of the Week 

Brett Cunningham, Husson

(Freshman, F - Harrah, Okla.)

Cunningham led the Eagles come-from-behind victory against Bates College (80-78) with a game-high 24 points. He also grabbed six rebounds, drained four 3-pointers, and handed out one assist. The win over Bates is the first for Husson since 2012, ending a seven-game losing streak against the Bobcats. Cunningham had eight points, five rebounds and two assists against the second tough opponent of the week, St. Joseph's College of Maine. The rookie averaged 16 points and 5.5 rebounds across the two non-conference games.



Player of the Week

McKenna Brodeur, UMaine-Farmington

(Sophomore, F – Oakland, Maine)

Brodeur put up two twenty-point double-double games against NAC opponents this week. She scored 22 points and picked up 11 rebounds against Northern Vermont-Johnson while also snagging three steals, two blocks and dishing out three assists. Brodeur completed the back-to-back weekend against Northern Vermont-Lyndon with 23 points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Across the two conference games, Brodeur averaged 22.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and shot 80 percent from the free throw line.


Rookie of the Week 

Kaylee Ravagli, Thomas

(Freshman, G - Lowell, Mass.)

NAC Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, Ravagli averaged 13.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.0 steals while shooting 38.5% from three-point range over three games for the Terriers this week. The freshman notched 17 points and nine steals in the Terriers overtime loss to non-conference opponent UMaine-Augusta on Tuesday. Then in conference games over the weekend, she added six points, five rebounds and three steals in a loss to Northern Vermont-Lyndon on Friday; and scored another 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from three-point range to go along with six steals, four rebounds and three assists in the Terriers 75-50 win over Northern Vermont-Johnson on Saturday.
