Five NAC Baseball Student-Athletes Named All-New England by

The Lyndon and New England College baseball teams placed individuals on the All-New-England Region teams, as announced on Monday afternoon.

The highlight of the teams for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) was Pilgrim freshman Shane Audet (Springfield, Mass.) who was named the All-New England Region Rookie of the Year and as a third-team honoree. He also earned third team honors as a starting pitcher. Audet led the NAC in strikeouts with 85. He also ranked sixth in NCAA DIII in hits allowed per nine innings.

Pilgirm teammate Nick Powers (Malden, Mass.) earned first team accolades as a starting pitcher, wihile NEC's Xavier Nunez (Lawrence, Mass.), third base, and  Lyndon's Andre Eason Jr. (Waterbury, Conn.), outfield, were named to the second team, and the Pilgrims' Evan Delaney (Hadley, Mass.) was named to the third team as an outfielder.

Powers lead the NAC and tied for second in NCAA DIII in ERA with a 0.99. Nunez ranked second in the NAC with a .403 batting average and led the NAC in RBI with 43. Eason led the NAC with a .411 batting average, while his .517 slugging percentage was good for seventh in the NAC. Delaney ranked first in the NAC and 15 in NCAA DIII in stolen bases.
