Player of the Week

Alex Chapman, Husson
(Senior, IF - Westford, Vermont)

Helping the Eagles split the week 2-2, Chapman launched a pair of homers against Newbury College, driving in three RBI and scoring four runs on four hits and a walk. Between the two games, the senior batted .475 with a 1.150 slugging percentage. Chapman's homers were the first of the season for Husson and helped accomplish their third doubleheader sweep with 16-7 and 12-2 triumphs over the Nighthawks. In the field, the captain helped accomplish 30 putouts with four double play scenarios.


Pitcher of the Week

Jacob Lacroix, Thomas
(Freshman, P/IF - Berwick, Maine)

Lacroix threw in three games, starting two, with a 3.86 ERA in 11.2 innings. He tallied a 1-2 record while striking out seven batters to just three batters walked. He picked up the win in the Terriers first victory of the season throwing a scoreless inning in relief with one strikeout in the Terriers' 10-5 win over Cazenovia. In his final appearance of the week, the freshman notched a complete game, two-run performance in a 2-1 loss to St. Thomas. Lacroix threw seven innings while scattering seven hits with three strikeouts and no walks.


Rookie of the Week

Kyle Gleason, Thomas
(Freshman, OF/P - Danville, New Hampshire)

Gleason hit .419 (13/31) in nine games to start his rookie year as the leadoff man for Thomas. He hit three doubles, scored four runs and had three RBI with a .471 OBP while swiping two bases on three attempts. Gleason helped lead Thomas to their first win of the season, going 2 for 5 with two runs scored and another driven in, to earn the 10-5 victory over Cazenovia.
