Player of the Week

Zak Johnson, Northern Vermont-Lyndon
(Senior, UT/P - East Hampton, Vermont)

Johnson performed defensively and offensively in a four-game split-weekend against Husson. He was perfect at first base with 35 putouts and three assists on 38 total chances. At the plate, Johnson hit .400 with four doubles and six RBIs. He scored two runs, stole a base, and only struck out once in 16 plate appearances to help the Hornets earn two wins.

   
 

Pitcher of the Week

Ryan Pratt, Me.-Farmington
(Junior, IF - New Sharon, Maine)

Pratt gave the Beavers just what they needed this week, with seven strong innings on the mound in the second game of a four-game set with UMaine-Presque Isle. Pratt did not give up a hit through four innings, and held the Owls to just two hits on the day while striking out six. With the complete game shutout, Pratt has lowered his ERA to 1.13 on the year.

   
 

Rookie of the Week

Kobe Rogerson, Husson
(Freshman, IF - Brewer, Maine)

In six games as the starting second baseman, Rogerson tallied five double plays, 23 putouts, and 15 assists, with only one error, for a .974 fielding percentage. He helped the Eagles to a 4-2 week, taking wins over Bates College and Colby College in single nine-inning games while splitting a pair of doubleheaders to NVU-Lyndon throughout the weekend. At the plate, the rookie hit a .450 average in 20 at bats without striking out. He accrued five RBI on nine hits, one double, scored five runs, and also stole two bases.
