NVU-Lyndon Pitcher Jake Jourdain Named D3baseball.com All-American

Northern Vermont University-Lyndon baseball player Jake Jourdain (Becket, MA) has been named an Honorable Mention selection to the D3Baseball.com All-America team. He is the first Lyndon athlete to receive All-America recognition by any of the D3sports.com family of websites. This is the latest accolade for the senior right hander, who was previously named to D3baseball.com's All-New England Team and the North Atlantic Conference All-Conference Team. He was also named NAC Pitcher of the Year.

Jourdain made 12 appearances on the mound this season, 11 of them starts, and posted a 7-3 record. He led the NAC in innings pitched (70), earned run average (1.67), strikeouts (77), wins (7), complete games (3), and shutouts (2). Opposing hitters batted .179 against him, the third best mark in the NAC.

Jourdain led the Hornets to a 22-21 overall record this season, including a program best 11-5 record in NAC play. Lyndon finished in second place in the NAC and finished third in the NAC Championship Tournament.
