Adam Richardson, Maine Maritime
Richardson helped lead the Mariners to a 2-0 start in the opening weekend of NAC games. The senior averaged 21 points and 61.5 percent shooting from the floor, eight rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game. In the Mariners' 78-57 win over NVU-Johnson, Richardson tallied a team-high 22 points to go along with nine rebounds, three blocks and two assists, while shooting 72.7 percent from the floor. In the team's 70-69 victory over NVU-Lyndon, the center tallied 20 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and a steal. Richardson helped lead the Mariners to their first 2-0 start in conference play since 2012-2013 and first conference road doubleheader sweep since 2003-2004.
Rookie of the Week
Justice Kendall, Husson
Helping the Eagles post a 3-0 week including two conference victories, Kendall netted double-digits in all three games, first posting a team-high 19 points in a non-conference tilt against Lasell College Monday night. The guard opened conference play with 11 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals in a win against NVU-Lyndon, and followed up the next day with 11 points, three rebounds and five assists in the final win of the week against NVU-Johnson. Overall, Kendall averaged 13.7 points, 5.0 rebounds (5.5 NAC), 5.7 assists (6 NAC), and 1.7 steals per game across the week.
