Player of the Week
Justin Martin, Husson
Averaging a double-double across three games with 23.3 points and 13.7 rebounds per game, Martin helped his team battle to the final buzzer in some very close games as the Eagles went 1-2 on the week. In a 101-98 loss to Colby, Martin tallied 22 points and three assists while pulling down 19 rebounds. Then in a NAC win at Thomas, the senior scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He had 22 points and 10 rebounds against UMaine-Farmington on Saturday for his third consecutive double-double; a game that marked his 100th career game and included his 100th career 3-pointer at Husson. By the end of the week, Martin had accumulated 70 points, 41 rebounds, and three blocks.
Rookie of the Week
Justice Kendall, Husson
Hitting a career-high 22 points against UMaine-Farmington on Saturday, Kendall drained five buckets from 3-point range, handed out five assists, and grabbed four steals. Earlier in the week, the freshman tallied 12 points and nine assists in a near-upset at Colby (101-98); and contributed nine points, eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals in a NAC win at Thomas. In total, Kendall racked up 43 points (14.3 ppg), 22 assists (7.3 ast/g), seven rebounds (2.3 reb/g), and six steals (2 stl/g).
