Player of the Week

Milani Hicks, UMaine-Farmington

(Senior, F - Scarborough, Maine)

Hicks averaged 18.3 points as he led the Beavers to three wins, including two in-conference, that bring the team to 15-6 overall and 10-1 in NAC games thus far. In a non-conference game early in the week at USM, Hicks picked up the double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds, and added three steals, three assists and three blocks in the winning effort. In the first of a two-game series with SUNY Canton, Hicks scored 21 points, snagged seven rebounds, and added four assists, two blocks and two steals. In total, Hicks tallied 55 points, 23 rebounds, ten assists, eight steals, and five blocks on the week. In conference play, Hicks averaged 15 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and one block while draining 7-of-7 from the free throw line.

 
   

Rookie of the Week 

Zach Falkenburg, Northern Vermont-Lyndon

(Freshman, G - Kirkville, New York)

Falkenburg had ten second half points, including converting seven free throws in the final minute of NVU-Lyndon's upset win at Maine Maritime. He also had two rebounds and six assists against one turnover in 27 minutes on the court. In total, Falkenburg notched 13 points, nine assists, five rebounds and two steals over two games. For the season, he is the only freshman among the top 16 in scoring in conference games (12.6 ppg). He also ranks fifth in field goal percentage (53.7) in conference games, the only freshman in the top 17.
