DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the 2019 Division III Men's and Women's Basketball All-ECAC Team. Maine Maritime Academy seniors Adam Richardson and Alayne Felix were selected to the respective teams.
Richardson earned two major awards from the North Atlantic Conference, including Senior Scholar Athlete and Player of the Year. He has also been recognized by the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) and D3hoops.com this post-season. Richardson led the conference in field goal percentage (64.8 NAC, 64.2 overall), averaging 20.1 points per NAC game and 18.6 ppg overall. He hit 66 percent of his free throw attempts in conference games (71.1% overall) and handed out a league-leading 71 assists, or 5.1 per game. Over the entire season, Richardson dished out 114 assists (4.6 per game), also leading the NAC. The three-time NAC Player of the Week this season grabbed 6.0 rebounds per game, with 5.2 coming defensively.
Felix earned All-Conference honors and post-season recognition from the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA). She averaged 14 points per game on a league-leading 55% shooting, and also collected 124 rebounds, 28 steals and 21 blocks on the season.
