NAC Men's Golf Weekly Honors (Week Ending October 1)


Daulton Wickenden, Husson 
(Jr. - Rockport, Maine)

Wickenden shot a two day total of 146 (77, 69), carding a +6 and tying for third out of 44 golfers. His day two score helped Husson win the 2017 FSC Fall Invitational out of nine total teams. 






Eric Dugas, Husson 
(Fr. - Pittsfield, Maine)

Dugas shot a two day total of 151 (79, 72) for a combined score of +11. The rookie finished the FSC Fall Invitational in eighth place out of 44 participants, helping the Eagles claim first. 




Castleton was not in action last week. The Spartans return to the course for the Southern Maine Fall Classic next Sunday and Monday, October 8-9, at the Gorham Country Club in Gorham, Maine.

UMaine-Farmington played in two matches this week. At Cape Arundel for the UNE Invitational, the Beavers took fourth out of six. Then at USM, the Beavers took third out four teams. 

Green Mountain competed in the Westfield State Invitational and the NIAC Championships this past week. Freshman Coleman Ashworth and Will Durant shared the lead for the Eagles at Westfield with both shooting a season low 87. Ashworth led the team over the two-day NIAC Championship with a total score of 184. Green Mountain will take the next two weeks to prepare for the NAC Championships which will be held at Berkshire Hills Country Club on October 15 and 16.

Husson won the Farmingdale State College Invitational. The Eagles recorded a 593 with a day two 288, as Gavin Dugas and Dalton Wickenden lead the way with a score of +6 apiece.

Johnson finished third in the Paul Smiths Invitational on Saturday. The Badgers will be off this week, preparing for next week's NAC Championship.

MCLA competed in the Westfield State Invitational and finished in sixth place overall, but posted their best score of 2017 with a 327. MCLA was paced by Matt Lawrence's 79 led all Trailblazers and all scores were 84 or better. MCLA will host the MASCAC championship this week at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield on Tuesday.

Maine Maritime finished sixth at Tuesday's UNE Invitational. This week the team will host the Mariner Invite on Thursday and travel to the Colby Invite on Sunday.

UMaine-Presque Isle had a third place finish at the University of Maine at Augusta Invitational on Saturday. The Owls finished one stroke behind second place UMA.

Salem State did not compete this week. The Vikings will head to MCLA on Tuesday for the MASCAC Championship held at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, Mass.
