Husson's Morang Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar
Husson junior Taylor Morang (Winthrop, Maine) was named to the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar for his work on and off of the golf course. He becomes the second golfer in Eagle program history to be named a Scholar All-American and the first to be honored by the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA).

After finishing the NAC Championship with a score of 158 (79-79), which tied Morang for sixth place, the sports management major was also named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Fall All-Academic Team. The Eagles finished the 2017-18 season as NAC Champions for the 13th time in the past 15 seasons.
A new record number of student-athletes earned All-America Scholar status including 265 in Division I, 126 in Division II and 23 in NAIA. Additionally, 62 honorees were added to the previously released Division III Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars. To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
